I’ve once again been bad about lurking on here and not posting stuff, but we adopted another dog. His name is Monty, and he’s about 9-10 years old. He’s an absolute sweetheart!

One of my friends groups does a semi-regular "Comic Book Draft" where we come up with books based on different themes and then "draft" different characters to be in our books. Latest theme was "Oops, All X-Force!" I decided to go in the satirical direction of X-Statix and pitched "The X-Ecutive."

I resisted really working on decorating the house/making improvements/etc since 2020 because we had plans to move to another city/state. But with housing prices, mortgage rates, and rent prices all outrageously high, we are here for the long term. So anyway I bought this cute unicorn rug

Finished Indiana Jones and the Great Circle this evening as well. This game was absolutely amazing. Definitely my GOTY. I'm going to have to go back and do more exploring to get all the many things I know I likely missed along the way.

We’re dog-sitting Simba for the next two days. He’s an 8-month-old lab who was so filled with joy when I called him a good boy that he jumped up and tried to give me a hug, nearly knocking me over. He is very sweet, but I’m not used to watching dogs that are taller than me 😂

My friend and I have had a long-standing joke since high school that if one of us decides they don’t want to be friends with the other anymore, they will send the other person “the gift.” It’s changed over the years, and the new gift has just dropped.
