Anyone else remember a time when Future Trunks in various fanfic would just be called "Miari" by other characters to distinguish him from baby Trunks? It's just the Japanese word for 'future', but I've always been curious when fanfic adopted it as a nickname.

Rewatching Crybaby has me realizing that the main 3 Devilmen we meet all have explicit or heavily implied homosexual relationships. Being a Devilman is the secret they have to hide for fear of being hated and ostracized. It changes the intent of the story in a way. Idk. Crybaby is a weird adap.

Aaron aka Mayo @maroyasha.bsky.social · 28/01/2026

The stuff in Devilman Lady with Sirene begging to be turned to stone when she realizes she's betrayed herself and Kaim's love for her is so good. Cemented her as one of my fave manga antags tbh

Aaron aka Mayo @maroyasha.bsky.social · 28/01/2026

Rewatching Crybaby and I really enjoy a lot of the changes, but I wish Jinmen was a bigger deal in the show Changing the death mask to be Akira's mother is really cool. But the whole thing is over and done with so quickly.

Instead of the overinflated anime industry we have now where every show is 12-13 episodes and cranked out on a shoestring budget that kills the animators, we need to go back to the time where everything was a weird experimental OVA instead
