Suicide before Living Picture Camera.

A tradesman at Trélon has committed suicide before a kinematograph camera. Having focussed the machine and set it running, he proceeded to kill himself. The films are perfect, each movement of the unhappy man being faithfully depicted. He is shown looking for a chair, seating himself on it and loading his revolver, remaining a while in thought before his mirror, and then suddenly starting up and blowing out his brains. These last pictures are of an indescribable realism, and reproduce the awful scene in all its tragic details. Fortunately the police were able to confiscate the films, the exhibition of which might have led to dire consequences in the case of morbid or nervous
spectators. Needless to say these facts (?) are from the daily papers.

a boeing e-6 mercury performing a flutter test in 1989. the test crew heard a big thump and had to gently baby the big girl down to the runway at boeing field. turns out it lost a third of the vertical stabiliser. they landed it safely. anyway visually this is an almost all white airplane flying over land and water. the sky looks mildly hazy. it looks like a giant took a big bite out of the tail.
