I needed one W tonight and that was finally FINALLY deciding how i was gonna animate the combine power effect. I just needed to mess around in CSP but I think this will be the style I'm going for (plus I always imagined the red part expanding like that and I'm so glad it's now real)

- Okay I’ve been thinking a lot about how to render backgrounds in this style. After trying different things out, I think I’m going with exporting UV maps and drawing the textures myself for most things. Actually learning how to do the classic indie-game-low-poly-shading is going to be way too much work than what it’s worth. I will both burn out easily and my work will be hampered by the amatureness of my backgrounds. The best option is to just sculpt the general shape, export the UV map, then draw the texture in CSP just like how I draw my comics.
- I’m working with [redacted].blend (not the one that ends in new. I put really cool doors there but I think I’m not gonna do that style if I don’t know anything about 3d lighting yet.
- I managed to export the floor and walls as Floor and Walls.png. Just pop that into CSP and draw the doors and brick texture JUST like how it looks in the comic.
- We are basically doing this Parappa style lets freaking go
