I see 2026 is up and running with all sorts of nonsense. There's a storm brewing, and it's not just a metaphor.

I've just had my London Marathon place for 2025 confirmed. Deep breath...

There seems to be much more fantasy around these days and I guess it skews young, but unless you're trying to break loose of the genre constraints of hard SF, then shouldn't your betas (mainly) come from there too?

Always good quality from ZNB - but it won't happen without us.

We need this! But waiting for good things to happen without helping out is like waiting for cancelled trains.

Londoners! Don't forget Super Relaxed Fantasy Club next Tuesday at the Star of Kings near King's Cross, from 7pm. Featuring me & @stevemchugh.bsky.social reading from our latest books and talking all things writing. While we *can* just talk to ourselves and each other, we'd love to talk to you, too.

I like this new place. And so many people here already, which is good - and everybody seems active, too, which had become an issue elsewhere. Time moves on, and so do we, I guess.

New here so this is a 'hello' post. Looking for a sane alternative to the other place. Amongst other things I write science fiction (and sometimes fantasy) and edit Wyldblood Magazine. Also I run (probably too much), am obsessed with politics and have a day job as an educator.
