Ich würde mir auch wünschen, dass es eine bessere Alternative zu Patreon gibt. USA, Paypal etc. und hohe Kosten ist nicht so attraktiv als Künstler.

Ich überlege auch, was für Patreon interessant sein könnte. Arbeitsprojekte für Kinderbücher? Prozesse mit Kunden/Verlagen - wenn diese ok damit sind. Online comics? (Viel Arbeit) CSP/ PS Dateien? Pinselspitzen? Youtube - Kenne mich mit Videoschnitt etc. ja gar nicht aus.

About a month left to the convention, a few appointments with clients, meeting artists, a signing session and after hour party. Sounds good. Now I will try to make some targeted portfolio pieces in time. Realistic vehicles is first on the list. I made a few for the Godzilla game like these:

I think with the current token prices on the rise you would be hard-pressed to do this job even with AI use/ image. A single token use would already push it in some cases. Madness.

I do not care to play GTA6, but I am really interested in all the technical tricks, know-how and what new stuff they developed to render all of this in such a way. Ambient light, ray tracing, refractions, a unique rag doll system procedural generation for entire rooms... wow.

Darkwing Duck: New series on Disney+ – First image & synopsis revealed - Movie & Show News

So Disney finally wants to make a new Darkwing show. While it doesn't sound like they stick with the version from Ducktales (the new one will be voiced by Mark Hamill) I am optimistic. Since most of their cartoon remakes and shows are quite good if not great.

These double layered boards seem to be a trend of the last year or so. I haven't really seen them before that but I like it. The recent Chichen Itza (Queen Games) that I illustrated ;), also used that method for some boards.

The signing session will be on all 3 days: 22nd to 24th, TH/FR/SA from 14:30pm to 15:30pm. I will be signing the games and making small doodles.

People ordering designs who don't know or don't care about it. Then the design is done cheap with AI by someone who doesn't care either and the first thinks it's good, greenlighting it.

I have some furry art, but I dont make money with it. But I struggled over the last year for sure and am now looking into other options. Classes, new clients, Onlineshop etc. or something completely different.

I would be happy to do the rest, but that's a lot of copyrights, that the publisher would have to buy.

So it was more like a direct print or extra layer. Interesting.

The Fisherman, by John Langan. I enjoyed the audio book reading on Audible a lot. This is lovecraftian horror at its finest. It focusses around 2 men that bond over fishing after tragic losses and the question, what you are willing to give or ignore to make the pain go away.

Similar to the Barbie movie etc. you have to embrace the source material and the complete silliness around it.

To my great and pleasant surprise, the new He-Man movie was quite enjoyable. It was comedic, very self-aware of it's silliness and even Leto made for a fun mustache-twirling Skeletor. If you know the old cartoon and toys, then this movie is for you. Luckily the movie only spends 15 minutes on earth.

Ashoka S2 is coming too. And I wonder if they improved on anything. In S1 the writing was meh, the characters meh, the fighting meh... I didn't like the show at all. The big question is, can they make Thrawn scary and smart or not?

HBO Potter: Well, it LOOKS good. Not much more to say at this point, really. Except, that it feels so close to the old one that I wonder why I would watch it? If this has been animated instead I would be much more curious about it. (art by Rion)

I will be visiting the "Spiel 2026" in Essen again this year. But because of my time away, I am already very late for appointments. Instead it seems that I will be taking some time for a signing session at the Iello booth for King of Tokyo Godzilla. The times has still to be announced.

I am finally back. 2 weeks hospital and 3 weeks of rehabilitation are done. Thank god this is still free in Germany. Now onwards to work, sketches and working through everything that has piled up over the time. Trying to manage stuff from a phone or even tablet is awful compared to a PC.

I have worked a bit in blender, but it always felt clunky. Just not enough practice. ^^ Given some time, I could make these - although I am not sure how a model has to be set up for print. I also dont own a printer. ^^

Thanks, I have dipped my toe into sculpting before so I am rather confident that I could manage these. Before I used Beesputty or Super Sculpey. But Fimo would likely work too. Do you think there is a finish over these to protect them against the weather?

Every now and then I enjoy sculpting. Minis usually, but I also like looking at these. There are a lot on pinterest & Etsy for sale: Leafs, owls, shrooms etc. (Although thanks to AI I can't say if they are all real nor not) What would you use to make these (for sale)? Wood, clay, 3d print?

I dont have a problem with VAs licensing their voices for projects at all. Its the other way when publisher demand the rights to replace VAs forever that I cant stand.
