Sad to learn that Greg Brown, founding guitarist of Cake, has died. He was an amazing guitarist with a unique sound who wrote Cake's biggest hit to date, "The Distance." I'm going to listen to Motorcade of Generosity on repeat today. @thebandcake.bsky.social

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Greg Brown’s passing after a brief illness. Greg was an integral part of CAKE’s early sound and development. His creative contributions were immense, and his presence—both musical and personal—will be deeply missed. Godspeed, Greg.

What are we growing more confident in?
● Chances for a major winter storm are increasing.
● Chances are increasing that most of central NC may see more
than one wintry precip type during this event. Latest models are
trending warmer aloft, favoring a larger area with
predominant or mixed ice/sleet over just all snow.

RI judge intervenes after ICE wrongfully detains Superior Court intern

by: Jusolyn Flower, Tim White

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A Rhode Island Superior Court intern was briefly taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Providence Thursday afternoon before a judge intervened, according to the state’s Judiciary office.

The student, a high school intern at Superior Court, was reportedly detained by the agents outside the Licht Judicial Complex on Benefit Street.

Superior Court Judge Joseph McBurney insisted the agents had the wrong person. It was not until ICE verified their information and admitted the intern was not their intended target that he was released.

From Siembra NC

7:06am. Usually this parking lot is full of border patrol cars.

We think there are three possibilities
1. Off to the other part of the state
2. Will be starting here later today
3. They left the state

If you're outside Charlotte and you see the private cars with plates from other states and officers dressed as military call 336-543-0353 and more importantly text us pictures

Searching info on a CVE and Google AI tells me Nov 6th, 2025 is a future date. AI is so f*cking stupid. #googleAI #AIfail

The date "Nov 6, 2025" in your query refers to a future date and does not correspond to a specific, universal LineageOS "path" or version as of the current time (November 9, 2025)
. LineageOS development is ongoing, with versions tied to Android releases, primarily LineageOS 22 (based on Android 15) as the current main development.

I recently came to the same conclusion that @rebeccasolnit.bsky.social has: Trump created a totally new ICE army as an end-run around Posse Comitatus. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

We were wrong to think the line would be crossed when the military (and not just the national guard) was used domestically in our cities, against us; they created a whole new untrained, unaccountable, ruthless, and brutal army in ICE instead. (May the accounting come at some point....)

See? THIS is why any protest should be blaring copyrighted music.

160

Mark Turner @markturner.net · 02/10/2025

As I've been saying, authoritarians HATE being laughed at so the more absurd our reaction the better. Make them look ridiculous! Another great response would be to blast children's music whenever they're marching. If they're filming it for a propaganda video, make sure the music is copyrighted.

I think Portland is onto something with their weird ass, silly protest techniques. These macho military men look *so ridiculous* next to a Victorian woman having a tea party on the sidewalk as they stom by with their big guns and shields.

It ruins their visuals of authority, intimidation, and control.

Be like Portland. BE SILLY.

If anyone needs sample language, here’s a starting point you can copy and paste:
Dear Disney/ABC Leadership,
Your decision to silence a comedian for a harmless joke while protecting and platforming voices that openly promote cruelty is indefensible. It reeks of hypocrisy, cowardice, and corporate complicity.
Suppressing humor while elevating propaganda is how fascism gains ground. You are helping it along.
This is a warning: every dollar I once spent on Disney+ subscriptions, merchandise, films, and parks will now be withheld. I will also be encouraging others to cancel, divest, and pressure your advertisers and shareholders until Disney/ABC adopts clear, viewpoint-neutral standards that respect all voices equally.
History will not remember kindly the corporations that bent to fear and power, silencing dissent while protecting division. Right now, Disney/ABC is on the wrong side of that history. Shame on you. We will remember!
Sincerely,

Your search for "half rack hosted" in Raleigh, NC, is likely a misunderstanding of barbecue terminology
. "Half rack" refers to a portion of ribs, while "hosted" in the IT world refers to a data hosting service. Since you are in Raleigh, a city known for its excellent barbecue, you are likely looking for restaurants that serve a half rack of ribs.
Here are some popular options for barbecue ribs in the Raleigh area:
