Stunning stage adaptation of The Railway Children at @worthvalley.bsky.social as part of the @bradford2025.co.uk year of culture. This is the scene where the rail disaster is averted. Brilliant immersive theatre in the round. A 10/10 performance. Fabulous afternoon.

Spent a wonderful evening in the #Perth museum here in Bonnie #Scotland this evening, sampling whiskies from the #Macbeth collection - linked to a fab exhibition about Macbeth (the real person) and that of Shakespearean fame. Stunning - particularly the #Clyneslish, the #BenNevis & the #Laphroaig!

Spent today mooching up and down the @worthvalley.bsky.social KWVR heritage line, complete with a ploughman’s lunch version of afternoon tea in a Pullman carriage steaming to/fro. Wonderful day. That, and messing about with the art filters on my OM-5!

Typical Victorians. No forward planning for the need of a 21st century photographer for symmetry. Funicular building not in line with pier building 🤣. Saltburn by the Sea, North Yorkshire.

My cousins have discovered an ancestral link to the founding father of the Cooperative movement, Robert Owen, through their father, not my blood relative. Duly dispatched to locate his statue (outside the Coop Bank, Manchester). No indication on/around the statue of why it is there or who he was.

Dickens’ “Bleak House” (Jarndyce -v- Jarndyce) was inspired by a real life 60-year court case. Brodsworth Hall (Doncaster, UK) is the resulting ‘inheritance’. Also led to a UK act of parliament preventing will bequests to future unborn generations. These garden tour facts beat Latin plant names 🤣🤣🤣
