Many thanks for the reaction to our new single "Playing with Fire" over last 2 weeks. Having it played at the Anfield Derby & on the Chris Currie Mersey Radio show were major highlights. Now available to stream on all platforms, so if you've got a moment, give it a listen. thegambinis.hearnow.com

Thanks everyone for the really positive response to the new “Playing with Fire” video. As a bonus, here's the accompanying video recorded in a very cold old church one Sunday morning earlier this year. m.youtube.com/watch?v=qVfW...

Time for some memories of the late, great Alan Ball including his goal at Anfield in the 1-1 draw in 1967. ⚽️

This is a brilliant piece of TV from 1989 featuring Ian McCulloch on the children’s show Saturday Starship. Presented by Tommy Boyd and Bonnie Langford. When was the last time you saw Ian McCulloch getting sprayed with silly string? youtu.be/hRP70gVJp3Y

#bestalbums2024 Sunstack Jones - Luminous Hands (2024) One of my faves of the year. If you’re into chilled psychedelic West Coast 60s stuff then I recommend sticking this on your Christmas list! youtu.be/LlASdOByWHk #nowspinning #musicsky @sunstackjones.bsky.social

I'm a straggler to this release, but it's been a hell of a year. 🙏 Like Hanging Stars, @sunstackjones.bsky.social bring in that countrified sound with spacious guitars, Byrds close vocals. Even a BJM feel with the combo of psych/shoegaze/dark electric folk. sunstackjones.bandcamp.com/album/lumino...

Happy Birthday to Andy Gray born #OnThisDay 1955. He spent just 2 seasons at Everton winning the FA Cup in 1984 & European Cup Winners' Cup in 1985, scoring in both finals. Andy also won the league in 1985. A courageous favourite centre forward. #EFC #Everton

Bizarre thing happened to me yesterday that my teenage self would not believe. I was playing at the gig to celebrate the life of the genius that was Neil Innes. Whilst waiting backstage to go on, Michael Palin sang the lumberjack song to me, in German.

"It’s just such a great record and really means a lot of to us. The great thing about it, is that this record is part of our DNA. It’s mad that 30 years later, we’re still able to pull off that energetic, youthful chemistry on stage and read each other in that way.
