📍Buffalo. Not the best rink, but some of the best fans; wish I could have been here for that playoff atmosphere last spring. Not the most exciting downtown, but I do love a beef on weck, and two of my oldest and closest friends live nearby. Always glad to be here. Especially in the not-winter.

Delta Center converted one end zone from all restricted-view seats to these balcony-style tiers. Lowered capacity, but added seats with a full view of the ice. It's a little scary up here, haha, but the view is sick.

📍 Salt Lake. Glad to have it on the circuit. More pretty than fun, but maybe I can sneak up to Park City on a ski-season visit. Heard there's a real press box now. Bummer. I liked being with the fans, feeling the energy. Reminded me of Joe Louis. It's sterile when you're way above the tree line.

📍Vegas. For the second time this month and the seventh time in a year. Around 40 times total now. From a sportswriter standpoint, tough to beat. Airport is so close. Hotels right next to the rink. Plenty of good places to eat (when you can expense the meals, that is). Fun rink.

My daughter's birthday present(s). I had two guinea pigs when I was a kid (Toejam and Earl!) and loved them. I don't remember them requiring the GDP of a mid-sized nation in initial costs and daily care, but oh, well. Who can say no to those noses?

My kid thought it was cool I had covered Mets pitcher Sean Manaea when he was in HS, so I tried to look up some old stories. Two eternal lessons: 1. Newspaper archives are worthless, which is tragic from a local history standpoint. 2. AI sucks and you should never, ever, ever, ever rely on it.
