Faced with outrage over his use of taxpayer money for campaign ads, Trump now says he’ll use his PAC money. Will he pay back the money from ads that already ran? I want proof of what he says, because he’s a lying criminal.
Trump: The Radical Left is upset with the fact that I am taking Ads, which I consider to be a positive promotion for our Great U.S.A., and paying for them with U.S.A. money. This is a rather standard thing to do but, rather than doing that, although nothing will make them happy, I have decided to do the Patriotic Ads, among others, and pay for them myself, and with money I raised for MAGA, Inc. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! President DONALD J. TRUMP

The New York Times asks the RNC for crowd sizes for Trump's events. Rather than provide numbers, the RNC issues a meaningless statement, and the NYT prints it! Why would the RNC answer a reporter’s questions when the NYT is willingly to reprint Republican propaganda instead?
Natalie Baldassarre, a spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee, responded to a request for crowd sizes at each event by saying on Sunday that the rallies were “drawing some of our highest ticket demands to date,” adding that “our Republican candidates will continue to build off this momentum and drive voters to the polls as we approach Election Day.”

The NY Times says it’s “not clear“ why Trump is using taxpayer funds and not money from his super PAC for his self-glorifying ads. But it’s clear to me. It’s because HE‘S A CROOK.
It was not clear why taxpayer funds, and not money from the super PAC, were used for the spots.

Another story on Fox's website complains about a bad call against one of Clark and Cunningham's teammates after a rough play. Yes, there are collisions and bad calls in the WNBA playoffs. But it's obvious that this is a story on Fox because the player is white and plays for Fox's favorite team.

Fox News talks a lot about the WNBA, but it’s not because it likes to see talented female athletes putting the ball in the hoop. To Fox, women’s sports is good for 2 things: 1. To agitate for white grievance. 2. To foment anti-trans hate. (This is No. 1, but there’s a lot of No. 2 on Fox as well.)

After Eric Schmitt lied and was corrected at the Jack Smith hearing, the NY Times called it a “misunderstanding.” This might be fair if Schmitt had a record of honesty (he doesn’t) and if Schmitt didn’t repeat the same lie after the hearing (he did). What the hell is the NY Times doing?

Jack Smith, who as special counsel twice charged Donald J. Trump with criminal offenses after his first term, defended his actions in testimony before Congress on Tuesday, as a Republican senator accused him of perjury based on what appeared to be the lawmaker’s misunderstanding about a basketball game involving the University of Iowa Hawkeyes.

Trump posts that his arch will be a "military complex" for drones and snipers. Really. 4 possibilities: 1. He's using national security as an argument for the arch, as he did with the ballroom. 2. He's prepping Fortress DC for when he refuses to leave office. 3. He's insane. 4. All of the above.
At the strong request of the United States Military, and for National Security purposes, I have agreed to convert the magnificent Triumphal Arch, planned since the Civil War Era many years ago, at the Receptive Circle adjoining the Arlington Memorial Bridge, into a top grade Military Complex/Triumphal Arch, to house, store, and have the rapid ability to use large numbers of drones, plus Snipers, on both the roof and plaza areas, and additionally have and hold large quantities of sniper ammunition in storage. There will be no facility like this anywhere in the World. Out of the 59 top cities and Capitals, Washington, D.C., IS THE ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD THAT DOES NOT HAVE A TRIUMPHAL ARCH, but it will now and, by far, the greatest of them all! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

With dopey economic theories like the ones he’s posting today, it’s a wonder Trump is a rich guy. Of course, he got that way because his father gave him $400 million, he has a longtime practice of stiffing creditors, and he monetizes the White House with corrupt crypto schemes.
Trump on Truth Social:
Interest Rates in the United States should be 1%, or less, because we are the Best Credit in the World — BY FAR. Our Country is BOOMING with new Investment! If we stopped Trading with every country that we have a Deficit with, which is most of them, we would make, at least, 1.5 Trillion Dollars a year. The word “Deficit” is nothing more than a fancy word for LOSS. We are “carrying” almost every country in the World, and that cannot go on any longer. LOWER THE INTEREST RATES FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND FAST! President DONALD J. TRUMP

The average price of a gallon of regular gas was $2.98 before Republicans started the Iran war. It’s $4.37 now – 47% higher. If you have a car with, say, a 14-gallon tank, you’re paying nearly $20 more every time you fill your tank. Vote against all Republicans.

I wonder if the NY Times has a Euphemism Desk to soften its stories. Trump lawlessness is an “expansive interpretation of presidential power”? Hardly any industries are mentioned in the U.S. Constitution. But the journalism industry is. This confers a special obligation on members of the press to warn the public of threats to their freedom and well-being. But the journalism profession is largely failing at that duty right now.
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Weird lead in the NY Times. Instead of saying Trump was lying when he claimed this week that prices were "way, way down," NYT seems to suggest that the nation only found out that the economy was bad on Friday, after Trump's upbeat remarks.
Tony Romm story in NYT:
With less than two months until the midterm elections, President Trump commenced a final push this week to preserve his Republican majority in Congress, arguing that the United States under G.O.P. control had brought prices “way, way down.”

But for many families and businesses, the economy appeared to be on far shakier footing by Friday. Fuel prices soared, mortgage costs climbed and inflation registered uncomfortably high, testing the public’s patience with Mr. Trump’s frequent assurances that the country is on the right track.

As they took the stage at the party’s unusual midterm gathering in Dallas on Wednesday night, amid growing Republican anxiety about the midterm elections, speaker after speaker focused on what they characterized as an urgent threat to American life: a Democratic Party they claimed had veered beyond its traditional liberal principles into a dangerous, un-American ideology.

The NY Times casts Democratic warnings about Trump’s fascism as a “political tactic.” That conforms with NYT’s policy of minimizing the fact that Trump actually is a fascist.
Of course, Mr. Trump didn’t invent fear as a political tactic. Former President Lyndon B. Johnson stoked worries of nuclear annihilation in a famous 1964 campaign ad. In 1988, worries about crime, with racial overtones, were pushed by President George H.W. Bush. And the past three Democratic presidential nominees have rallied their voters by casting Mr. Trump as a dire threat to democracy that could lead the country into fascism.

On Nov. 21, 1922, in the NY Times' first story about an up-and-coming politician named Adolf Hitler, the Times said "Hitler's anti-Semitism was not so genuine or violent as it sounded." Yes, really. We should remember that when news media dismiss Trump's insane rhetoric. Take. It. Seriously.
"But several reliable, well-informed sources confirmed the idea that Hitler's anti-Semitism was not so genuine or violent as it sounded, and that he was merely using anti-Semite propaganda as a bait to catch masses of followers and keep them aroused, enthusiastic and in line for the time when his organization is perfected and sufficiently powerful to be employed effectively for political purposes."
