More fun with my orbital space hotel. Made in #blender. FUN only. Not a serious concept. The barrel-shaped pods are the living quarters. They're detachable in case of damage to the underlying ring. (Although, not sure how much help that will be!) #sciart #spaceart #scifi

I'm fed up with supe stuff as well. Started the final season of The Boys and decided not to bother with the rest - realised there is not one character I like! They're all really, REALLY annoying.

Depends on the orientation of the spin axis relative to the Earth. If the ring were spinning with the axis pointing towards the Earth, then those rooms on the non-earthward side would never see the Earth. There no reason why the axis should tangential to the Earth, although it is in this version

Still buzzing from what the previous satellite image taught me about lighting and surfacing. Time to revisit one of my favourite models, the Heliogyro probe, masterfully built and rigged by @nick-stevens.com . These are older renders ; the #Lightwave3d 2026 version is a project for another day.
