If the dems don't take control, he'll finish the Epstein Ballroom(tm) and squat on his Throne of Tweens(tm) until they code his lizard brain into AI and he'll never die in a subterranean fascist data center doomsday bunker.

Corrupt to the core. Don't vote for any of them, not a city councilman, senator, or dogcatcher. If they haven't left the republican party by now, what the hell is wrong with them?

So, when blue-state folk say "he's not my president," it's literally, verifiably, admittedly true.

Just think of Lyin' Donnie as "opposites day" made flesh. On the SAVE act: "The only reason you wouldn’t do it <we're doing it> is you <we> want to cheat because y<our> policies are so bad and y<our> candidates are so pathetic that you <we> can’t get elected in any other way." Works every time.

I've been steeped in the "Ian Fleming universe" and somehow the meaning behind the acronym for the evil SPECTRE administra ... I mean, organization from the Dr. No movie* was tucked into a corner of my brain. May have been triggered by something. *First introduced in the Thunderball book, per Wiki.
Screenshot image of a listing on villains.fandom.com about the Ian Fleming fictional SPECTRRE organization: "SPECTRE | Villains Wiki | Fandom
The Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion, better known in the abbreviation as SPECTRE, are the main antagonists of the James Bond franchise. It is a global criminal organization with aspirations of world domination and profit that was created and led by the criminal ..." it trails off.

Nobody trusts that these clowns can get anything right. He had some competent advisors 1st time - covid mismanagement notwithstanding - but this time he's surrounded by news reader-bots, we are already at war, and clowns have access to megalomaniacal artificial intelligence. Answer: laughing stock

Paul Sonne and Nataliya Vasilyeva said of Ukraine's attack on Moscow, "the objective was to bring the war home" Now Russian hardliners want to "strike the enemy mercilessly” “How much further Russia, which has the world’s largest nuclear stockpile, can go with its conventional arsenal is unclear”

Smells like bribes. Even if they were actually going to use them, they paid over market for abandoned warehouses. Now they'll sell them at a discount, which amounts to giant government-funded windfalls for -- and millstones removed from the necks of -- the corporations that owned them.

Putting them all in <Utah/the ocean/the desert> wouldn't work either. This is a map of proposed data centers worldwide. There are 9000 of them already.

Can't be said often enough. "New Yorkers, we've seen Donald Trump for, like, 30 years. We know who he is." - Fran Leibowitz
Photo of Fran Leibowitz with the quotation: "Everyone says he's crazy ... which maybe he is ... but the scarier thing about him is that he's stupid. You do not know anyone as stupid as Donald Trump. You just don't."

Thanks, mom, for 2 years of piano lessons that I HATED at 8 years old. But music has always been where I go when things are bad. Or good. Now that I'm seventy something, I get to play with great musicians. And -- yes, there is a correlation -- I'm pretty good at math. Give your kids music lessons.

30 faux news stiffs in the administration; pardons sold to felons; citizenships sold to donors; slush fund for services of the proud boys and their J6 ilk; white "refugees" from South Africa. All bound to Lyin' Donnie who can throw them out if he wants, and they know it. Rewards, bribes, extortion

A stunningly beautiful hand-made carved cross memorial, found on a blink-and-you'll-miss-it roadside on Hawaii's Big Island. This photograph won a couple of awards.

I just realized that you have to tell BlueSky if you want to see someone's posts; it doesn't just happen. Following doesn't do it. Click the little Bell icon on the person's Profile page. (I also wish they had "hover labels" on controls. I hesitate to click blindly.) Added to the BlueSky wish list

Greenland has 5X more hospitals per capita than the US. They should send hospital ships to America. Round-ish numbers: US population: 342,000,000 Number of US hospitals: 6093 = One US hospital per ~57,000 people Greenland population: ~57,000 (I shit you not) Number of Greenland hospitals: 5

TONIGHT ... escape with the blues! "Mary Ellen Lykins is one of those vocalists who give you goosebumps! Add to that the tight arrangements and hot saxophone and it's amazing all around." - C.A. Clayton, Telluride Jazz Fest "One of my favorite bands!" -Janice Cleven Gage, Washington Blues Society

The musical dream sequence in the movie SINNERS is one of the greatest pieces of film -- and film scoring -- ever made! The whole soundtrack is really good, but the music behind that few minutes of film deserves an Oscar all by itself. Genius.

This is going to be fun! It's been a long time since we played The Old Edison. Mary Ellen is a vocal force-of-nature, CC burns on guitar, Keith Stone scorches on sax, and I get to play bass with the award-winning Chris Leighton on drums. Come and rock your blues away! Also, try the chowder.
