Growing up in the 80s, this is kinda how it was. I applaud Boomers for allowing us this freedom as kids. And yeah, I love that my kids ride their bikes and (the 11yo) can take the bus to go places (short trips at this point, but still)

I was at a local Rewe the other day and they had Root Beer in the cooler with other beers. Two takeaways: 1) whoa, there's root beer in Germany! 2) do they think it's actual beer? Is that why it's with the other beers and cocktails-in-a-can?

Easily the lowest rated album of their oeuvre, but given the rest of their output, that's a high bar. It has some good songs (LNY, Aftermath, and I'm a sucker for Worst Joke Ever) but very one-note throughout. Will I spend money on an anniversary set in 3 years? Of course I will 😁

That's what we did. We ended up having "Rewe to go" breakfast. It definitely wasn't better and kinda was a sour end to a wonderful weekend trip. We also waited for 20 min on the Autobahn for a simple KFC order...

Haha, love it. And sometimes any resemblance of CS will due - "we're sorry the kitchen is slammed. Here is some bread" goes a long way. We had nothing Yes, I make sure to regularly tip the local (Pizza, Greek, Döner) that are in our rotation.

Hypothetical: You go to a small bistro for breakfast and are told you can sit outside but need to order inside. After 30+ minutes you haven't received anything, nor has the wait staff been by. You go in to check and are told 2 more minutes.
