Day 3 of #RSECon26 is underway! We kicked off our final day with a keynote from April Johnson on the human work behind open scientific computing. Parallel sessions are running throughout the day until our closing remarks this afternoon. What has been your conference highlight so far?

Starting day 3 of #RSECon26, interesting keynote by April Johnson focusing on many of the "Soft Skills" which are super important in RSE. Nice to highlight the benefits and purposes of the keypoints #Welcoming #Listening #Connecting #Moving when dealing with communities.

Lovely talk by @mdsimpson.co.uk at #RSECon26 about his work around mental health and his @softwaresaved.bsky.social fellowship. He had some great tips which might help some. I particularly liked "Eat the frog"!

Had a lot of fun being on the panel of the @biofair.bsky.social workshop "Does reuse still beat rebuilding in the AI era?" At #RSECon26. Lots of great conversations and questions from the audience.

Excellent talk by @kirstypringle.bsky.social as keynote of the second day of #RSECon26 around the #GreenRSE moment. Really interested in the #GreenDisk accreditations, and something I would be keen to pursue @rosfrankinst.bsky.social following the excellent work we have already done in our labs.

Just finished our workshop at #RSECon26 "Hiring for diversity and inclusion in digital Research Technology Professional roles" and the participants shared some really insightful stories of their experiences, and hopefully we have managed to explore and capture some shared lessons.
