P1/3 My journey into landscaping continued over the weekend taking down the neighbors tree. The roots were on our side of the property and sat right where a newly planned retaining wall would be on the fence line.

Built a retaining wall this weekend. Well. Almost. Ran out of sand and cement for mortar as Mark is not so good at “the math” But footings are in. Rebar is in Back of bricks painted in blackjack. And bricks currently stacked and happy till I find time to mortar. Also. I’m absolutely in bits.

This absolutely works. I had over 160 subfolders for my 5 issue series THIS LAND establishing every element of the world and its characters and their personal journeys which the reader never got to see but absolutely came through and informed storytelling decisions.

There was a few years after I accepted redundancy from my first long term career role where comics just weren’t in my budget. The public library was an absolute godsend. It also gave me the opportunity to try out new creators and characters that I previously had no interest in. Check them out.

If Disney is hellbent on stripmining all of Pixar's successful properties for sequels (I mean, they are doing Toy Story 5 and Coco 2), I think Brave would actually be a good candidate. You could send Merida on a journey/adventure where she encounters various creatures from Scottish mythology.
