10 years ago, my 5-year-old daughter gave me the advice "I believe in you—now all you have to do is believe in yourself." 💜 Working with #singleparents has been an incredible journey. #SingleParentsDay, let’s celebrate the strength and resilience of single parents everywhere! #SingleParentCommunity

Quite incredible the various ways that #crohns can impact your life. Many aspects of this will also apply to people with other chronic health issues. It's a lot more than just 💩 #ibd #crohnsandcolitisawarenessweek #gastrosky
Mind maps created by people with Crohn's about all the impacts of the disease including time managing it. Including to attend and travel to appointments, impact on work, mental health, misdiagnosis, treatment, relationships etc

Disrespect > anger > shame > violence to avert feelings of shame. This eternal dynamic must be better understood by everyone, but especially politicians and policymakers. It is the key to reducing lethal (overwhelmingly male) violence in our societies. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2024...

The more deprived or more rural a local area is, the fewer and lower-quality childcare options families tend to have.

Lack of affordable, accessiable and quality #childcare is a huge barrier to many parents juggling work and education. Especially #singleparents. Quality childcare is also essential to reduce the attaintment gap. Could childcare be a proper public service?

OPFS Christmas appeal 2024
Christmas should be a time to celebrate with our family and have fun together, but for some single parents and their children Christmas can be the hardest and loneliest time of the year. The continued pressure of cost of living is making bills even harder to pay. Families in poverty have to make tough choices between paying their heating bills or buying food. Please help us to make a difference. Donate today: http://opfs.org.uk/donate
