A chocolate martini. The best I can say about it is... I've had worse drinks. The chocolate has a very artificial flavor to it. I might try making one on my own some day, using actual chocolate syrup, and see how that tastes. #bjd #dolls #chocolate #photography #liquor #martini

A ball-joint doll with long brown hair and a denim blouse and skirt sits on a table with her arm draped over a glass of chocolate martini. The bottle for the chocolate martini is beside her, it's rich browns and blacks complementing the doll's colors well. Or so thinks me, the photographer.

Despite the storm, the mail was delivered. This is the first physical game I've bought in 20 years. Literally. The last one was in 2006. Sadly, it's just a case for showing off. There's not even a booklet, and the case has a really strong 1990s-rental-store-case feel to it. #nintendo #zelda #bjd

A ball-joint doll named Mirai, from SmartDoll, holds a case for The Legend of Zelda, Echoes of Wisdom, for the Nintendo Switch. The doll is barely visible behind the case, with her head and brown hair just peeking over the top and her legs barely visible beneath the case. Behind her, several bookshelves are neatly stacked with a wide variety of books and decorations.

My PTO is cursed :D Yesterday, the Internet was down for 8-9 hours. Currently, we have no power due to a storm. I was also asked to come back to work tomorrow because a team member had to get an emergency appendectomy this morning (he's out of surgery and doing fine). Some weeks are like that.

I'm thinking out loud, but I think a Shadowrun game in the style of Hades 1/2 would work well. You have all sorts of potential weapons, magic for magic, tech for boons, and the entire thing could be infiltrating a shifting Megacorp HQ and squaring off against the security system. #hades #shadowrun

I can't find my second mermaid doll, the cat bonefish. I put all my dolls away when family visited a few weeks ago since none of them know I collect dolls, but she's not where I usually put her. I must have put her in a different box than usual, which means I'll have to dig through my closets.

#mermay is just around the corner! If the weather would get above a rainy 50 F (10 C), I could do some outdoor photography. The blue-light filters I have in rooms I spend evenings in give photos a weird tint. The light looks fine in person, though. #bjd #mermaid #photography

A small red mermaid ball-joint doll is posed next to a window. She has a hand on the window, as if gesturing outside, while her other hand is raised and beckoning the viewer. An overgrown bush is seen in the background, through a light rain.

The Tactics Ogre art book came in recently. I haven't opened it yet because the fancy lettering is only on the plastic wrap. It looks really good and I wish it was on the cover. Sorry for the poor lighting. I took this with my cheap phone camera, not my normal camera. #tacticsogre #art #book

An art book for the video game Tactics Ogre lays flat, unopened. There is a plastic wrap on it that has fancy gold lettering, but no such lettering is on the cover. A small green cervitaur (deer centaur) doll is in the background, out of focus. It wasn't meant to be in the photo, but it's almost impossible to not have a doll in a photo at my home.

The Skeb + BlueSky integration is live! You can now create a skeb Account using BlueSky! Or connect BlueSky to an existing Skeb account and use that for login! But what is Skeb? Skeb is a communication-less service where you can request art (and other works) from Japanese artists.

What is Skeb?
- Skeb.jp is a service where you can request works (art, comics, videos, etc) from Japanese creators
- It is "communication-less" - Clients and Creators never speak to each other! You submit a request to an artist, if they accept it, you eventually get art!
- All content regarding the request must be included in the body of the request. No Outside communication allowed!
- Creators reserve full rights to the work. You may use it for social media and other personal use
- If the deadline is reached, you are automatically refunded

I haven't done a food-and-doll photo in a while. The new blue-light filter I have makes photos very yellow, but the light is fine in reality. Dinner was a ham salad with sauerkraut and balsamic dressing. Coco seems like she could do with less ham, though #bjd #doll #dollsky #food #photography

A small humanoid rabbit doll stands by a large ham salad, holding a fork. She has brown hair, giving her the name Coco, and a yellow apron that looks orange in the light. Everything is tinted yellow due to a blue light filter on the overhead lights.

I realized I never posted the pizza I made so I made it again tonight. It was a difficult task to convince myself to do so (it wasn't) but I did it anyway! Behold! Pepperoni and jalapeno pizza! (...I forgot the onions this time.)

A home-made pepperoni and jalapeno pizza sits on a castiron pizza pan. The crust has various spices in it and the sauce sits nicely in a shallow bowl. Pepperoni, sliced jalapenos, and a lot of mozzarella cheese cover almost everything.

The pizza has been taken out of the over and is just every so slightly over-cooked in the back, closest to where the oven's coils are. The rest of the pizza is cooked to a golden-brown perfection.
