I love that you can create capsule-shaped buttons again in AppKit with the glass style. Reminiscent of the original Aqua buttons that lasted until Lion. Anyway, I am using this combination in the New Contact, Edit Contact, and Photo editor views. #AppKit #macOS #MacDev

Republicans love to say that nothing should be free... yet while _maybe_ this would produce cheaper vehicles (big maybe), the buyers will pay more in healthcare costs (which are already exploding thanks to the GOP) but also in more fuel consumption from less regulation. abcnews.com/Business/tru...

In the spirit of advocating for more native Mac Development, I wanted to share (early) my new app: Address Book. It uses the Contacts API on Mac so it keeps everything in sync with your Contacts across your Apple devices — just a new UI for macOS. One that works. Coming Soon. #AppKit #macOS

I’m voting for Tina Kotek for Oregon Governor. The other one, whatever her name is… Drazen or whatever, is going to insert her own medical beliefs at your doctor’s office. Ewww no.

Having worked at Apple Retail between 2006-2011, I’m interested to see what Ron Johnson has to say about it. I met him in person when I went up to Cupertino once for Creative Strategies training at 1 Infinite Loop.

Phew... finally done updating #PDXTransit for iOS 27, watchOS 27, and macOS 27 Golden Gate. Also updated Music Widget and QuickTune for macOS 27 as well! Their corresponding webpages got some nice updates too! Now onto updating PDX Transit for iPhone Duo.

My Apple Watch Series 13 in Ceramic arrived yesterday! This thing is gorgeous!!! And if you get the Sand Sport Band, it even has a matching white pin. I don’t know if the pin is also ceramic but it matches nicely!!! The only drawback is that the bezel is noticeably thicker than on my Series 10.

With the release of PDX Transit with macOS Golden Gate compatibility today, I decided to post screenshots of this app through the years on my Mac Dev Instagram. The app really did start as an “stretched out iPad app” on macOS because I didn’t know any better at the time. :P

On this date in 2001, I woke up in a 22-story hotel right between the twin towers in NY. I planned to linger till 10 a.m. But a last-minute meeting made me leave at 8:15, just 30 minutes before the first plane struck. The hotel was destroyed. I was saved. But we can never forget those who perished.

One of my all-time favorite movies #28DaysLater just came out today on 4K UHD Bluray! I don’t know how to feel about what to expect. This movie was shot with Canon XL1 MiniDV digital video cameras — maxing out at 480p. 😬 It worked because it gave it that lo-fi grainy post-apocalyptic feel to it.

Oh cool. YouTube premium costs way more now. And they make it damn hard to sign up for an annual plan (saves you a little money as opposed to monthly). I had to waste time and call them to get an annual plan again (because it doesn’t auto renew). The enshitification of tech continues.
