Ace Combat 8 keeps crashing when I try to start the story while also eating up over 20 gigabytes of RAM on a 32GB system. We need a moratorium on Unreal Engine 5 games, this shit in absurdly bad. The only UE5 games that run well are by Embark and they use wholly custom renderers.

I think a quiet sign of a turning point among core gamers is that Control Resonant's reviews are all glowing but you read them and they're all basically "this game sucks good". There's a lot of critique that comes across as pretty harsh, but is overcome by how interesting the game is.

It's been a long time since I've seen a brand commit suicide quite like PlayStation has. It's effectively dead, I'd argue, and it's probably the beginning of the end for the Western Video Games Industry and boxed premium games in general, when combined with bigger market trends.

So my general understanding is that among Gamers, it's okay to make similar games if you're white or Japanese. But if you're Chinese, the harshest language, everything up to racial slurs, is fair game.

Been reading more of Gushing Over Magical Girls. It's actually pretty nice, like one of them shounen battle mangas but centered around feminine sexuality and kinks and stuff instead of magical abilities. It's very interesting in that regard. I also love the characters, big fan of Kiwi.

A lot of modern video game criticism isn't based on people demanding games with more depth to their gameplay or more complex stories, but that Gamers would really like it if you got to press more buttons more faster and the good guys win in the end.

The next chapter of The Knights Himura should be the penultimate chapter of the second volume, and it will be pretty long, at least twice as long as most other chapters. This is mostly because it was originally planned as two chapters to be written simultaneously, but plans changed.
