This morning in Danbury, ICE was arresting parents at school bus stops. But it’s more sinister. ICE waited until the kids were on the bus so when they are dropped off at the end of the day, they are alone, scared to death they can’t find their parents. I’m heading to Danbury.

In 1997, I went to North Dakota to learn more about Mandan and Hidatsa cultures. At the time, there were maybe 40 people left who spoke Mandan, 30 who spoke Hidatsa. The curator of the Knife River Museum was recording them for preservation. www.npr.org/2026/07/26/n...

#bla26 finally moved onto the impact of AI on referencing citations. Teeside University provided a speedy but lively presentation about their efforts to make students "resilient learners". Useful statistics about the high number of hallucinated references and ghost publications.
