Get you a baddie who can do both! Huge shout-out and thank you to @iamblz.bsky.social for these amazing commission pieces! Castor and Lind are so special to me, and having art of them is so dope!

Oh ladder climbing has been prevalent since ladders were invented. I just mean why it seems so much worse recently.

Remember to treasure your mother, says the Lord of Impalement.

Lind from Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave saying "I see. That is all well and good. You ought to treasure your mother."

I agree, and will expand in "stunted" in that a lot of folks haven't experienced the "boring" or "adult" workforce. Folks that haven't had a regular 9-5, or haven't been a part of a union outside of SAG, and don't really relate to the majority of working class experiences

010

Marcus Rothenberg @marcusrvo.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

But what do I know? I'm just some bald loudmouth that people either hate or love, and I feel the hate category outweighs the love category haha

160

Marcus Rothenberg @marcusrvo.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

We went from being a very collaborative community to choosing sides and treating those that weren't "on our side" super reckless. Now don't get it twisted, there's still a lot of folks out there doin the work and uplifting the community, but a lot of y'all are, forgive the expression, bad actors...

180

Marcus Rothenberg @marcusrvo.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

It turn into this massive impact in the community that I believe we are still feeling the ripples of. Another issue (for me) was the PGM list. There were actors that got HUGE advances due to it, then they IMMEDIATELY tried to pull the ladder up behind them, and frankly I still don't trust them.

170

Marcus Rothenberg @marcusrvo.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

For example, it was ASTONISHING to me how much hate and venom FiCore and non-union VAs received, yet SAG actors that work off card got off scott free. A lot of people were also stepping on heads to try and get work during a time when work was thin. After, folks didn't know who was or wasn't a rat.

Marcus Rothenberg @marcusrvo.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

This thread is an interesting read, and I've got a hot take on where a lot of the rot and distrust comes from. It was the strike. A lot of y'all were toxic as fuck during the strike, and there was a lot of venom and vitriol being spread about a lot of people, and I don't think we came back from that

A few people have told me to check it out, but you know how that goes. Felt like hobbying a bit this morning and wanted to watch something while I did so and finally just decided to actually throw it on!

Marcus Rothenberg @marcusrvo.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Started the show Shrinking, and this is pretty entertaining. It's the right amount of drama and character growth and just low stakes enough that I can hobby while I watch.

They also seemingly didn't market this at all. The first time I even heard about it was a few days ago. Planning to go see it this week cause it sounds great

Dawg it is such a fantastic kit. For an HG it's got so much going on that it feels like RG lite for lack of a better phrase. One of the kits that I wish I could erase my memory of and build for the first time again.

I genuinely can't remember the last time a movie had me that on the edge of my seat. I was tense the entire time and so engaged

010

Marcus Rothenberg @marcusrvo.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

I gotta be honest, the first time I heard about this movie was only a couple days ago. It's pretty telling that they just choose to not market stories like this...

Marcus Rothenberg @marcusrvo.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

So I don't typically enjoy horror movies. I usually find them pretty boring, predictable, and samesy. That being said, I enjoyed the fuck out of Resident Evil.

Yeah, I don't think I'm gonna do magic pre-release events anymore. Every single time I do, I get matched up with someone super salty. Today I got matched up with a guy that was straight up trying to cheat

Marcus Rothenberg @marcusrvo.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Oh I love playing, but we did pre-release today and one of the guys tried cheating against me and got REAL salty when called out. And man, if you have to cheat at this game I can just tell you have NOTHING else going for you in life

Thank you! And no problem, I love talking FE. Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn have EXCELLENT stories too, and are fandom favorites. And fwiw, Blazing blade on GBA takes place BEFORE Binding Blade. You don't HAVE to play one before the other, but it's a decent choice to
