more #icebreaker #fpga stuff: VGA IBM style video controller, with CP437 text mode rendering. the image is uploaded directly to BRAMs for now, and some preprocessing is done offline. art by @xubiod.net !

i implemented transient analysis and got capacitors working! behold: the humble RC low pass filter

my latest self nerd-snipe of the month has been implementing a circuit solver based on SPICE. right now it can solve arbitrary DC circuit with voltage and current sources, and resistors. no ui (yet?), so i'm using LTspice to draw the schematic and generate the netlist.

Specs are: - uC: 2x Microchip PIC16F876A, one for the motor system and another for control - LiPo battery powered - 2 servo motors - 4 infrared sensors: 2 front facing, 2 on the bottom - Light sensor - 4 LEDs - Expansion port with I2C/SPI - Comes with a separate board for charging and programming

Board connected to the robot with an edge connector, connected via usb a connector to host pc.

Here it is. It's called mOway, a mini robot meant for teaching at schools and universities. It can do stuff like move around, avoid obstacles, follow lines on the floor... Developed by Basque company Bizintek Nova. It's a small lil guy 🥹
