Colorist quick tip when working Resolve: To retain any node cache status (auto/on/off) when copying a grade via middle-click: 1) Right click in the gallery pane 2) tick "Copy Grade: Copy All Node Layers" Glad I finally figured this out! 😅 #colorist #resolve #videopost

The new visual and transcript search in #FinalCutPro is very cool. Here’s a little #tip: Set the browser to group clips by relevance. That way you get a visual break on the results for high and low relevance.

#DaVinciResolve v20 still has issues making H265 exports on M Macs. I see repeated frames occurring in those exports that are not present on ProRes exports of the same sequences. I’ve been seeing this kind of issues for the last 2 years and different M Macs.

Somewhere after #DaVinciResolve v20.1 the soft buttons user assignments on the Advanced Panels became persistent. Before you had to assign them every time after launching the app. Now they are remembered even between system restarts.

Huge #DaVinciResolve v20 bug. With dynamic project switching off, opening another project and going back to the previous one resulted in a completely empty project. No bins, media or timelines. All gone. Glad I have automatic project backups. @blackmagicdesign.bsky.social

#DaVinciResolve v20 bug: If you use offset ball as the cursor on the advanced panel with Magic Mask 2, when clicking, it selects the area in Magic Mask but it jumps to the qualifier and also sets the range there.

Of all the things introduced yesterday I think #Spotlight is the one I’m most excited about. But in all articles I read they keep referencing #Alfred and #Raycast and only one named #Launchbar, which precedes them, it’s still available and it’s the OG of “Quick Keys” new feature in Spotlight.

Man, #DaVinciResolve stabilization in Perspective mode doesn’t like stills camera flashes at all… I have to try Similarity (which works 40%) or default to Translation which doesn’t smooth rotation very much. I wish it had separate sliders like FCP for translation, rotation and zoom.
