The projected cost of just one small modular reactor (SMR) equals 1/4 of Saskatchewan’s total provincial budget. Four would be required to replace coal, costing at least a whole year of provincial revenue. (Nuclear power plants are a notorious for huge cost overruns.) 5/

I wish everyone in Saskatchewan understood that the amount of money being budgeted to stick it to the federal liberals by in investing in coal plants that are simply leading to climate change and should be phased out is ALSO the same amount as the budget for one year of all of healthcare.
