The Metaverse was always a kinda a silly concept, as was idea of VR for enterprise, but I really like playing VR games and I worry that the money for better hardware and developer engagement will wane.

how to investigate crime as a tv detective: 1. open laptop on your coffee table 2. navigate to www.google.com 3. type in the name of a person, no quotes 4. move your mouse to click the search button 5. discover the exact information you need within two results

The image of millions of books being cut for AI scanning and then just thrown away hurts me to the core . And deeply frightens me. It’s not even about these particular books - it’s about the spirit in which it’s done. The butchering. The throwing away instead of donating to libraries .

I liked Star City a lot but I wonder if it has a polar opposite view of For All Mankind? the latter is broadly a story where the pursuit of space exploration makes society kinda better, whereas the former is about doing as much space exploration as you can get away with in a broken society.

The discourse about the roman helmet guy and the right wing suit guy are fundamentally the same: there are people who fume at historians, classicists, fashion experts, and anyone else that gets in the way of what they THINK the past was like

I genuinely believe that the US's inability to embrace hybrid drivetrain technologies in cars (meaning like the OG Prius, not new plug-in stuff) was a very bad sign of cultural decline which we really should have paid more attention to. We decided to look at innovation and say "no thanks"

I dont mean this as a rebuke, but Q is receiving a lot of hate from the tabloids, social media, and some sitting MPs to the point of needing security recently. So, they need our support right now not to be used as a cudgel in this manner.

We are concerned by the nature of the media attention focused on the election of Dr Q Manivannan to the Scottish Parliament at the recent election.

Purple text on pink background reads "Statement on Responses to Election of Dr Q Manivannan"

it has the logos of the Young Women's Movement, Scottish Trans, Equality Network, LGBT Youth Scotland, Inclusion Scotland, CRER, Equal Representation Coalition, LGBT Health and Wellbeing, CEMVO, Elect Her, and Engender
