This was only the second time in my life that I brought something to the cleaners, and it always makes me feel like a character in Friends or Seinfeld. Those shows really made me think dry cleaning would be a much bigger part of adult life. Turns out: they lie... marcel.io/dailies/2026-09-16

I’ll never get tired of mentioning how much I enjoy the fact that a really good day doesn’t have to offer all that much to be one. A calm morning in a café, a delicious dinner, and some time with loved ones in between is really all I need to consider my time w... marcel.io/dailies/2026-09-15

Yet another run where I can hardly stay in Zone 2. I talked to my trainer, ChatGPT, about it, and apparently it might just be accumulated fatigue from training. It recommended taking a week off from pushing myself too hard. That might actually make sense, so I... marcel.io/dailies/2026-09-13

I may have added a feature to my blog that uses GPT-6 Luna to automatically analyze each daily comic and add metadata about its content. I had no idea how cheap this stuff had gotten! Analyzing all 270 comics cost me like 20 cents. Brave new world! Here's an example: marcel.io/dailies/2026-09-12
A screenshot of a dark-themed user interface with a list of words and phrases, including 'People', 'Animals', 'Places', 'Activities', 'Objects', 'Themes', 'Mood', and 'Description'. The words and phrases are displayed in white text against a black background. The description reads: 'Marcel sketches people at the harbor, chats with a retiree about art, and admires a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 with Pablo.' Below the description, a list of thoughts appears, including: 'I SPENT THE AFTERNOON SKETCHING PEOPLE AT THE HARBOR', 'MIND IF I WATCH?', 'NOT AT ALL!', 'ENDED UP TALKING WITH A RETIREE ABOUT ART AND THE CREATIVE LIFE FOR LIKE 30 MINUTES', 'PABLO', 'COOL, RIGHT?', 'TOTALLY', 'I WISH I HAD A USE FOR IT', and 'DJI OSMO POCKET 3'.A screenshot of a computer program with a dark background and a white window displaying a form with text boxes and checkboxes. The form includes categories like "People", "Places", "Activities", "Objects", "Themes", and "Mood". There are checkboxes next to some of the categories, such as "swimming", "shopping", and "parking". At the bottom of the window, there are two buttons labeled "Cancel" and "Save AI metrics". The text boxes contain words like "Marcál", "Anna", "swimming pool", and "fitness".
