A good win for the women earlier. Scousebusters!

Don't bow to the blackmail, let them do it if they're serious - it could be a bluff but perhaps it's best not to take any funding from them anyway. Other funding will be available.

Awful goal to concede by Ukraine. Northern Ireland with a great cushion. 0 - 3

Purely to delay the inevitable and waste everyone's time, the Mooners submit their appeal. It won't change anything. They're guilty!

The UK Gvt can't be swayed by this blatant attempt at blackmail and nor can the PL.

Burnham's comments have added more fuel to the long running Brexit debate, both pro and anti, yet figures and polling suggests that some form of closer ties with the EU would be both beneficial economically and popular. Full re-entry is unlikely, single market and customs union more so firstly.

I remember when Elton announced that he was going to stop touring and Rod responded that he never would and yet next year's tour is to be his last. Maybe he should have thought it through before making such a claim?

There were a couple of times in the 1st half when Odegaard was challenged minimally and he just stopped when he could easily have played on, making the referee decide whether to award him a free kick. So frustrating to watch - and probably for his teammates too.

An off night for Norway, defensive frailties surfacing again and lacking in terms of chances ... and then any game plan was shattered by the sending off 17 seconds into the 2nd half.

Manchester hasn't been tainted by the City scandal, it can do perfectly well without the Abu Dhabi owners should it come to that ... these are irrelevant. Burnham needs to do as he says and ensure that the Gvt stays out of the matter at every stage. It's for football to decide what happens.

If the triple lock is to go in 2030, will the Gvt unfreeze the personal income tax threshold for pensioners - or certainly for those living on low pension incomes as compensation?

If City have irrefutable evidence that could prove them innocent, why didn't they share it with the independent tribunal instead of waiting until they've been charged? It's BS, hot air.

I keep reading that there's no appetite to strip City of titles or other honours but that's only attributed to a few players and journalists. I think that they should definitely be stripped of titles amongst other sanctions and I suspect that many others think along the same lines.

I've just closed the current account that I opened many years ago before starting university. It's not been my primary account for the majority of that time but it has served a purpose over the last decade until fairly recently. The end of a chapter more significant to me than to the bank.

It's annoying that The Athletic chose to leak the tribunal verdict during the international break, especially early in that window, rather than wait until the PL was about to resume.

So Khaldoon has issued a statement this afternoon saying that the club are innocent of all charges and will prove it. He - and they - would, wouldn't he/they? That from a guy who rules a country who ignores any law it pleases them to do so.

Mandatory dog training and licenses as a condition for ownership might improve control and engender a sense of responsibility but it will never totally eliminate the possibility of an attack because it's instinctive in certain situations.

Entirely understandable that Eriksen and Wolfsburg should agree to terminate his contract so that he can spend time with his family in Denmark. This could be an opportunity to assess his career path or a step towards announcing his retirement. I hedge towards the latter and wish him well.

If the commentator was saying throughout that the Bournemouth v Liverpool game was really poor and yet it's 3rd (of 4) in the MOTD2 running order, the Leeds v Palace game must have been dreadful.
