Today has been the sort of day that if I still had Twitter I would be constantly updating about all the mundane things I've done. First action of the day- drafting an Access to Work change of circumstances application, then onto meeting an artist in residence and taking payment from her.

Suella Braverman’s parents emigrated (those horrible economic migrants not from a war zone she hates). She went to Cambridge for free and didn’t collect £27k debt like everyone else. Scrounger. She used the Erasmus scheme to study in France. Which she has blocked. Horrible.

Today I did some diy- helped my friend recover some chairs, hang some fabric and generally doing stuff like drinking tea & gossiping. An all new look for Stargazy cafe in Penryn, previously a cafe serving Italianish food, now a cocktail and cakes/sundaes bar- opening 6pm Friday.
A colourful room in Stargazy cafe. There is blue wallpaper with oranges, lemons and birds on one wall. Against the wall is a gold coloured sofa with 3 velvet cushions on. There are mirrors on the wall and a blackboard with a cocktail menu on. There is a standard lamp with gold trim, a red table and a soft blue chair.

I didn't know it was the 9 year anniversary of the death of my Grandma today, but my cells did. I picked flowers and herbs from the #carparkgarden and put them in a tiny jug that belonged to her. I have cried twice today and I didn't know why, now I do.
A jug of flowers on a table. The jug is black with white polka dots on, it is 'Piazza wear' from the 1950s and belonged to my Grandma. The table is covered in a white fabric table cloth from the 1940s with blue, yellow and red flowers on. There are primroses, hellebore, forget me not, mint, rosemary and lavender in the jug. Today is the anniversary of my grandma's death and I miss her a lot.

Went to Norway, to Oslo airport, Bodø, Fleinvær, Tromsø and home to the UK via the Aurora. The best view the whole time I was there was from the plane window, above the clouds and the sea. Just crossed the bridge into Cornwall, not long now until I see my cat and start my numerous new plans.
A photo of the night sky with the Northern Lights showing as a green ribbon of light crossing from lower left to upper right. The bottom of the photo is black with a light orange tint representing the horizon. The photo was taken from a plane window on a flight from Tromsø to Bristol.

Had a bit of a rubbish day today in terms of pain and brain health. I finally left my cocoon when one of my fellow Arctic Hideaway residents knocked on the door to let me know there was curry and northern lights. The whole sky was glowing green and you could see the wave change shape as it went.
Photo of the northern lights in the sky over a dark hill with an illuminated, glass fronted building to the right. You can see the silhouette of someone on the top of the hill taking a photo with their phone. The lights are green and you can also see the stars.

I arrived at the guesthouse I'm staying in in Bodø, and was pleased to see the stern face of polar explorer Nansen staring at me when I got into my room. I feel that this could potentially be a good omen, or maybe they just come free with every 10 sets of bedsheets you buy.
A large print that is based on a photo of the polar explorer Fridtjof Nansen. The print is framed with a white mount and a brown wood frame. It is hanging on the wall in a guesthouse bedroom in the Norwegian town of Bodø.
