iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

(side note: I've worked in print production for the last 25 years, and done countless press passes on every conceivable method of print. Except Risograph it would seem) I imagine your paper would limit the number of colours, there's only so much ink it can take especially if it's uncoated stock.

I would've thought registration would be the least of their worries, although I've not seen the inner workings of a Riso printer.

Don't miss the Pitt-Rivers bit at the back

000

Yeah all their doing is separating your colours into Spot Channels. Long as you keep your Black 100% K for outlines. Useful for metallics too. They got a limit on number of colours?

So...CMYK then? Oh I see, it's a like a combination Gravure/Flexo printer.

Well 2000AD's been predicting the present pretty accurately for the best part of 50 years. I just re-read Strontium Dog: The Final Solution and it's pretty much Britain now instead of 2178. Just replace Mutants with anyone who's not white.

If you see this , show your orange art 🍊

Book Illustration for Shaitan, an Islamic Jinn. A dark figure imposes behind a woma, both of them looking west. Bright orange flame lines eminate from the man, or Shaitan.

The ginormous cylinder ships are closer to the book I think too. Art production on it is great. My main problem is I think Chalamet/Zendaya suck in general, but work well enough here. Especially when you have a stacked cast, similar to the 84 version.

Saw 1 & 2 at cinema. 2's bit of the Harkonnen homeworld of Feyd fighting with the black & white ink fireworks/style rules. Big fan of Villeneuve. Still love the Lynch version even if he didn't. They should've got Toto back for the soundtrack though.

Ahh, the annoyance of knowing your substrates, the big paper roll I have is not the same as the old one, it can't take as much paint when I don't prime it, so it's just been absorbing all the colour in while I'm underpainting.

"Maple", oil on canvas, 12x16", 2026- $950(Cdn) #art #landscape #cityscape #trees #canadianart #painting

A painting of a view of the maple tree & the tree of heaven behind it in my backyard with 2 red brick houses behind. The house on the left is obscured by branches & leaves, and in the bottom left corner vines cover the fence. The fence continues along the bottom edge to the right corner covered by greenery. Behind the fence is a taupe coloured vinyl sided shed in my neighbour's yard. A dark tarp hangs under the shed's eaves, blowing slightly in the breeze.

I was working the bar in a WMC the 12-3pm shift that Sunday. Mood was indifference. Best comment: "If she wasn't the Princess, and walked through this taproom right now nobody would even look twice at her."

In progress: "Maple", oil on canvas, 12x16". Starting to fill in the leaves. This will take a while. I'm moving back and forth between the leaves and the trunks as I balance the tone & contrast. #wip #art #landscape #canadianart #painting

The same painting. Now the house on the left is obscured by branches & leaves, and in the bottom left corner vines cover the fence. The fence continues along the bottom edge to the right corner. Behind the fence is a taupe vinyl sided shed in my neighbour's yard. A dark tarp hangs under the shed's eaves, blowing slightly in the breeze. Much of the upper right of the painting is still white, a branch or two taking shape over the upper right with dark green leaves filling in around them.

Latest #Tarot the 10 of Pentacles. This one took a while to compose & paint. #minorarcana #dogs

10 of Pentacles Tarot card: In the foreground to the left, a bearded old man with long greying hair in a red hooded cloak looks down at 2 large dogs on the right, one of which licks his lips looking up at him. Just behind on the left a small girl pets an obscured dog, and to the right a woman in a long flowing red coat looks back at them. In the middle, a man in an ornate shirt holds a spear, his back to us.
In the background, a huge arch with draped pendants/flags hanging off it. In the far distance a bridge structure. Overall are 10 yellow Pentacles spaced L-R in a 3/4/3 formation.

Yeah kind of. A way better album than it has any right to be as she was a 'supermodel' at the time, before she started acting. I like Milla, she's at least creative even if she's in C list films.
