Running reds in London, about 5 mins apart. I do get riled when I see cyclists going through reds, or on pedestrian green, but it’s a different story when 2-3 tons of 20mph metal do it

With this one, I think I genuinely was going way too fast. I was going like the clappers into the roundabout - maybe not wise - but nothing was coming from the right 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’ll be the first hold my hand up. I’ll take any criticism for this on the chin

I can imagine how difficult it is to gauge depth perception on a moving small mass object. My fault for going too fast, I guess. Even says “SLOW” in the bike like. My bad 🤷🏻‍♂️

Going nowhere, this driver knew they had messed up and was apologetic to riders. But would a “real” train sneak behind the car if the driver had stopped on a level crossing? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Couple of observations from this clip. Note the developing gap between the mini and the taxi in front of it at the beginning of the clip. Then see the driver of the mini fail to stop for a pedestrian crossing at the zebra. Can’t prove it but I’d wager the driver was on a mobile phone. But cyclists!

Cyclist goes through a red light and nearly gets t-boned by a motorbike on Park Lane. Unbelievably two other cyclists cross Park Lane on a red straight after. Just wait, guys. It’s literally seconds.

The cyclist in front of me could’ve ended up being a tennis ball between the driver of the car on the right, accelerating through a give way, and the driver of the Rolls on the left poking its nose out. Even with tax and insurance, car drivers that don’t follow rules are a danger

This driver cuts across the middle of a roundabout to inconvenience a moped rider. The driver was indicating but had he manoeuvred correctly both he and the moped driver would have comfortably continued on their respective ways. Sadly I think there was another agenda at play here.

According to my Garmin, today I was stopped for 4mins 10secs on a 17km commute to central London. I could save 2mins or more running reds. In my opinion I think it is safer to be front of the queue than risk getting side slammed. But that’s me 🤷🏻‍♂️

Loads of bikes go through here on red, which is a shame as it is on a pedestrian green. Seen a few close calls, mostly from other bikes jumping from the right. But I wasn’t expecting a bike riding policeman to pass on my right!! Is this “get out of jail free” card? 🤷🏻‍♂️
