Ghost Trick is the best way to experience what Ace Attorney is like in a self contained package, without feeling like you have to commit to an entire series. Play it. Do it for them.

I have only ever played Fortnite once, back when it first got ported to Switch. I hid in a bathtub and won automatically when the storm closed in on me. After all the Al and other crap happening to it, I'm perfectly content never playing again and maintaining a perfect win rate.

Really not cool how Unreal became the de facto AAA game engine, to the point where Microsoft and Square Enix are making their teams use it. Cause now they can just force this stuff into the engine and it affects games it has no right affecting.

dropping the price down to $40 definitely feels like a big help. It's not the f2p that Fortnite is, but we're getting there. That means sales will drop it down below 20

Every crossover IP is trying desperately to outdo Fortnite. They really want the power of "hey they just added xyz, you really love xyz cmon lets play"

Did you see the post from the Analogue Pocket SNES core dev that basically said "Hey, real neat you 'wrote' 50k lines of code. The core already supported this so I don't know what you actually did and we are not accepting the pull request kbye, don't ever do that again" bsky.app/profile/kybo...

Back in college, my roommate asked me "Are computers smart?" My answer was "No, they're just really fast at being dumb" Good to know things haven't changed all that much. The only difference is we started making computer output look like human language. But it's still just being dumb at high speed

All VR headsets have their own weird software quirks, and a lot of them are on a ticking time limit due to hardware unrepairability. That alone makes me recommend Frame, cause nowadays I hear nonstop about how people's quest controllers or index base stations are breaking youtu.be/vHtnf9LBl9Q?...

There's a lot of early adopter oddness to be sure, but it's still an amazing showcase of how far Valve has come with VR in 10 years. Like it's not a major upgrade over existing headsets, but I think it's still the one to get as far as VR PC gaming

Square Enix does the same thing with stuff like the Dragon Quest special editions, no game in the "loot box". But they avoid the backlash because they still sell you the game at the same time, it's just there on the side and has a place in the lootbox to display it. The power of perception

I find it funny companies think "customers want to spend money on this branded merch, we'll save them money by letting them buy the game separate" But in actuality people snap out of the "it's cool stuff that comes with the game" mindset and realize "Wait, why do I want all this expensive crud?"

Beat the game last night with a cutscene timer, out of the 4.5 hours of game time, over 2.5 was just cutscenes :) MGS4, what a game. Possibly one of the only games where I'll say the sum of its parts is greater than the whole 😂
