I find it funny companies think "customers want to spend money on this branded merch, we'll save them money by letting them buy the game separate" But in actuality people snap out of the "it's cool stuff that comes with the game" mindset and realize "Wait, why do I want all this expensive crud?"

Beat the game last night with a cutscene timer, out of the 4.5 hours of game time, over 2.5 was just cutscenes :) MGS4, what a game. Possibly one of the only games where I'll say the sum of its parts is greater than the whole 😂

My one random prediction for the OOT remake: Link will be wearing a different tunic than the one he sleeps in, the internet will freak out that they redesigned his tunic, and it turns out the outfit in the first teaser was just pajamas. Also he'll open his eyes and they'll be like, suuuuper anime

ManokAdobo 🎷🐓 Chris But Scary @manokadobo.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

I cancelled my Nitro way back when they first touted all this age verification stuff, but since it was a yearly sub I still have it until November. So the expiration basically coinciding with them implementing this crap is perfect, it'll be part of the metric of people cancelling due to their BS

ManokAdobo 🎷🐓 Chris But Scary @manokadobo.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Any time Sony needs to break out the PS1 nostalgia, it's always exactly Ape Escape 1 because it's the biggest family friendly IP they wholly own on PS1. They won't dare ask Microsoft to use Crash or Spyro for these. Would it kill them to mention Parappa even once? Sir Daniel Fortesque?

I'm reminded how I was forced to skip Skullface's big speech near the end of MGS5 because the jeep got stuck on a tank I destroyed and Skullface and Snake just stared at each other in silence. Later on I couldn't do the "final" mission of the game because it just... never prompted me to do it.

Ngl I was excited to buy a bunch of used xbox games to build a physical pc collection, but like, I couldn't think of anything I actually wanted besides Psychonauts and Halo.

ManokAdobo 🎷🐓 Chris But Scary @manokadobo.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Okay now that some people have the Xbox digital to disc feature, they confirmed you can put a Series X disc in an Xbox One, then get a digital version to play on PC/Series S. Finally, physical PC games have returned. I may celebrate by buying a copy of Psychonauts 2 even though I have it on Steam

Finding out not only are less factories making blu rays, less factories are making blu ray drives at all. Even if we successfully bully Playstation and Xbox into admitting all digital is a bad idea, I'm dreading what'll happen if there are no more discs period. We distribute games on usb drives?

120

ManokAdobo 🎷🐓 Chris But Scary @manokadobo.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

It's surreal that in just one day, people will be able to play MGS4 on PC, a game that was famously PS3 exclusive for 18 years. I wonder if people know anything about the game itself besides the memes

I'm expecting this to lead to "this is how you play backwards compatible games on our next discless console" Which is sad cause this is a neat feature for convenience and game sharing (just log in to your friend's console and they can play your physical game from their house)

ManokAdobo 🎷🐓 Chris But Scary @manokadobo.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Whether this #PSBlackout does anything or not, I'm already moved off Playstation at this point, canceled plus and since then my PS5 has been nothing but a blu ray player. I just bought a 4k blu ray drive (one compatible with libredrive) to be my blu ray player from now on

Me before playing Wild Blue Skies: "Maybe it's a good thing it came out right after a Star Fox 64 remake, it'll scratch the itch for fans who want something besides a Star Fox 64 remake" Looks inside: It's a Star Fox 64 remake

Big Walk is proof that gamers can like Breath of the Wild, just remove the Zelda name and remove preconceived biases of what the game *should* be. Ironically the opposite seemed to happen to some people with Mina the Hollower. They expect a Zelda game and recoil the moment they see a souls mechanic

I am actually shocked the Minecraft Discord phishing scam isn't widely known at this point, I'm still seeing people getting got by it 😔 Like it's not their fault, but it feels like every community I'm in already has at least one person who fell victim to it, how have people not heard of it?

The amount of sign tapping I'm doing this year is making my finger hurt. Twitch is doing exactly this, they know we don't want Al training and they're saying it out loud. But they're getting paid a looooooot to do it anyway.
