I owe my first animation teacher an apology AND a thank you. Did I grumble about learning animation via stop motion? A LOT! Did it help make animation easier to digest? Clearly, seeing as my jump sprite animation looks like THIS!! 😵‍💫 #WIP #animation

Because my brain can’t summon the energy once I do get the free time 💀

Manic @manicmonk.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

Thanks Wubbs!! I’m excited to do more of the sprites and show them off! 💜

Done! I love how her tail and limbs move, the pupils look a lil weird but it’s okay. I’m still really proud of this 💜 #GIF #animation #fancharacter

Because why you didn’t just paint it?!

“Why put yourself through this when you can just get the paint?” Because where’s the fun? Where’s the challenge? Sure I could get the paint and make my life easier, but I wouldn’t get the same satisfaction from it as if I’d done it with alcohol markers and color pencils youtube.com/shorts/gI9_Q...

✨SHOP UPDATE THIS SATURDAY 3pm CEST!!!✨ Finally releasing two of my fictional botanicals as fine arts prints but there will also be a new sticker set and several original paintings up for adoption! Save the date~ #TraditionalArt #FantasyArt #ShopSmall

A photo of two portrait-format prints, placed on a wooden desk and coloured paper, and surrounded by leaves, flowers, and crystals. Both prints feature a black background and on them paintings of fictional botanicals inspired by real plants. The print on the left shows a glowing version of Polygonatum, a plant with white, hanging bell-shaped flowers, titled Polygonatum ardens ("Bells of the Lost"). The print on the right shows a glowing version of Dicentra, a plant with pink/white heart-shaped hanging flowers, titled Dicentra incandens ("Radiant Hearts").

NO!! That is horrifying that they’d try and envoke sympathy for a friggin clanker!! Treat AI for what it is, A TOOL! That’s it. A tool doesn’t have feelings and should be used responsibly!! Not as a means to be lazy and create trash 💀

Pointjoint @b0xcutter.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Honestly, I’ll take folks trying and producing rough looking art ( it just takes some time, you’re in the middle of the ride, everything will be alright 💜) then spewing out the likes of THIS with AI. Scary alien AI baby judges you for your AI art +^+

HORRIBLE AI image of a baby that looks melted together from various body parts and cloth. You’re not missing anything here

Run animation for my new sprite for a class project. Now to do the idle and jump… Yay 😭💀 Still, I’m proud of how surprisingly smooth this came out. That animator’s survival kit is definitely worth the investment 💜

I need to do school work and I feel like my brain has turned into a ping pong ball bouncing all over the inside of my skull. Maybe I should try going for a walk? 💀

Love you girl, I hate to hear you’re struggling with health issues, but I’ve got a feeling you’ll come back swinging. If you need a chuckle, I just got sassed by a chunky calico because she wanted to pull a towel down but it was out of her reach 💜

A chubby calico cat as she looks longing at a towel slung over the shower curtain, just out of reach

8…hours… 8 COTTON PICKING GOT DANG HOURS I HAVE SPENT REWORKING A SKELETON FOR MY RIG!! Is it my fault I had to redo it? YUP! Am I close to it being caught up to where my original was? … Eh? Sort, kind of? The skeleton’s done, doing the constraints won’t be as bad though

Update: I changed an answer to one of the questions and now it’s trying to say I talk like someone from Nevada 😂

Tried to say I talk like I’m from Montana. Like bro I’ve only been once and stayed maybe two weeks 😂

I hope you’re able to man. I’ll warn you now though: the non-stimulants will make you sleep. It’s great for the insomnia, but that’s about it (Least that’s what happened to me when I tried a non-stimulant. That wasn’t fun 💀)

Or the time blindness! Holy crap, I’ve been late to so many things because of that! Trust me, I get where you’re coming from man. It sucks hard! 💀

I don’t like needing dopamine hits just to function. Or having big emotions over small mishaps. Or having depression and anxiety as comorbidities. That makes functioning even more “wonderful” … Don’t even get me started on executive function disorder and rejection sensitivity dysphoria

Won’t go into specifics about what brought this on, but to anyone out there who’d actively want ADHD… Why? It’s not cool. It’s not quirky. I don’t like having such poor object permanence that I forgot where I placed my keys that were in my hands not two minutes ago. -

Ok that’s fair! She looks mad cute tho with her new hair colors you gave her 🖤💜🖤

122

Oh noes, why’d you have to reroot the hair? Did they use the cheap stuff on our girl? ;^;

Oh my god they’re adorable!! I need that Kuromi doll in my life!! Where did you find her?! 💜🖤💜🖤

And when did friggin cassette players come back?!

Manic @manicmonk.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

WHY IS A CD PLAYER SO EXPENSIVE?? I don’t remember them being THIS expensive!! 😭

I did goof one thing: aranea is the order name for spiders x3 But I’m glad you like it! 💜

Wait seriously?! I didn’t even we had one of those in states! I thought those BJD were mostly an online thing from places like Japan D:

I know they’re doing it cause money, but I wish they wouldn’t! It just feels super gross! 💀😭 Oooh yes!! I’m excited to see how she turns out!! 💜

020

If you made your own version of that doll I’d love to see it! I’ve got a few of my own that I wanna do, or at least re-root the hair cause I don’t like polypropylene hair 😭

Also the fact that I can look around and go, “technically wasn’t what it was in 2007,” stop and realize that was only 20 years ago … God I need time to just chill out for a second 😭💀

For anyone who’s done 3D animation, does this look doable in 12 weeks? It’s meant to be low poly, and I’m gonna be getting to work on the characters within the next few days. I’ve already one person say it looks doable, but I’m just curious what do y’all think?

For anyone who worked on an animation project with a friend: how well did it go? mine has me feeling I’m arguing with my friend half the time. Like I get it’s a time crunch, and the other person is just being realistic, but … I dunno man, I just wanna make something that ppl care about
