a while ago, I was trying to learn Godot and wanted to make a game where you played a mermaid who accidentally got sucked down to the abyss, and had to team up with an anglerfish to get back home. But then I lost my job and it got shelved. Maybe one day. Any #gamedev ppl wanna help me? LOL #artpost

a model sheet of illustrations for a little mermaid character, with green skin and purple hair and stripes. She has a little pink shirt, and large nerdy glasses. Many different poses show different expressions and angles.

a model sheet of illustrations for a deep sea anglerfish character. They're a dark, dim purple colour with frightening teeth and an evil grin, and the quintessential dangling light out of their head. Many different poses show different expressions and angles.

This is your occasional reminder that, if you like Neil Gaiman's stuff, but can't bring yourself to like it anymore for justifiable reasons, Tanith Lee is the author he is credibly accused of extensively cribbing from, and her work is on Audible, and AMAZING.

Enjoy your snake day tomorrow.

An illustration of a green snake against a black background. The snake is coiled around a cluster of four leaf clovers. Though it starts as bright green at the top, it fades into a blue/purple towards the bottom. One deep red eye stares at the audience.

I'll admit... not really feeling social media anymore... Like why bother post? Not only is barely anyone responding - I've always felt like i'm shouting into a void for the 20 years I've been on the internet - but is it not all like... contributing to evil ends? Like worse than it usually is?

Here's a great, very simple to read graphic on knowing your rights when facing ICE from @repdangoldman.bsky.social. More info here, but this gives you the basics: www.nyc.gov/site/immigra...

Know Your Rights when facing ICE graphic with five steps:

1: You don't have to open the door
2: You can stay silent
3: You can ask them to leave
4: You don't have to share personal info
5: You don't have to sign anything

Taking a break from Peachtober late-posting to wish you all Merry Christmas! 🎄🎄🎄 Featuring @reneekitson.bsky.social's What's the Word character Christmas Breeze and the hot-headed Candle—an unlikely pair!

Merry Christmas! This image features two characters, one a personification of Jamaican Christmas breeze and the other an anthropomorphic candle. The breeze character has the hair made from the pointy red leaves of a poinsettia plant and the rest of her body is made of pine leaves and holly. She wears a scarf made of a strong breeze swirling around her neck and blasting behind the two characters. She has an off-white skirt with a red ribbon as a belt. The candle character is shorter and is wearing a Santa jacket, white gloves and shorts instead of the classic red pants. The breeze character is excitedly giving a Christmas greeting to the candle, but her breeze is threatening to blow out her flame, the candle is smiling awkwardly and visibly uncomfortable about it.

The prompt for day 9 of #peachtober24 was apricot! I accidentally made this one especially superhero-y 😂

A cartoon personification of an apricot. His head is the seed sticking out of his body which is an apricot cut in half. He wears blood orange boxing gloves, khaki pants and brown boots. The leaf of the apricot sticks out behind him like a scarf. He's leaping into action with a mischievous grin on his face.

The prompt for day 8 of #peachtober24 was River 🌊 I had a lot of fun with this one, my ideas for her manifested from the top, down. I love the mountain hair and the fish necktie! I should have made the fish a salmon though 🤔

A personification of a river. The character has hair made out of the twin peaks of a snow-capped mountain. Her face is made of water and runs from between the two symbolizing rivers running from the mountains to the sea. She's wearing a tie made from a living fish and a long-sleeve dress-shirt, white like the froth of river rapids and trimmed with scalloped lace shapes. Her lower half is a floor-length skirt made of water that runs into the floor. She's laughing with her eyes closed as her fish-tie flops about, she has a very relaxed pose.

Day 7 of #peachtober24 was Bud! 🌹 I immediately envisioned a child since the bud is the precursor to the rose but as I was sketching it out I was like oh wait, what if it was also a cherub? The leaves could be wings 🤔

A personification of rose bud. His hair is a closed bud with the petals gently sticking out. He has small wings made of single leaves giving him the appearance of a cherub. He wears a short gown made from the sepal of the rose. Except for his eyes, eyebrows and burgeoning rose which are all red, his body and clothes are all various shades of green.

since this will always be circulating, i might as well be the first one to put it here: the stretch tips i made many years ago… remember to stop and stretch and take care of your hands! be mindful of your work time & listen to your body.

a bunch of drawn diagrams of hand stretches. the text at the top reads MAKE TIME TO STRETCH!

it shows wrist extensions and flexions, with the arm straight out and hand palm out with the hand gently stretched up and down. the same stretches with the hand in a fist. the same stretch but with the palm against a wall. a stretch of pressing your palms together with wrists parallel to the ground and slowly lowering the heels of the palms. and a gentle shaking out of the hands.

The prompt for day 6 of #peachtober24 was Sketch! ✏ I wasn't really feeling this one tbh! They all start as sketches anyways so it felt weird to personify that. I like the pencil head though, the lead goatee is inspired 😂

A personification of a sketch. His head is a pencil drawing his sketchy body onto a paper background. The lead of the pencil doubles as a goatee and the chewed up eraser resembles a beanie.

Day 5 of #peachtober24 was Fawn! I really wanted to give her the biggest shiniest eyes and super lanky dangly limbs like a fresh baby deer 🦌

An anthropomorphic deer child. She has gigantic leaf-shaped ears full of fluffy white fur. Her eyes are almost as big, wide open and droopy with a pleeding expression. She has a pink butterfly on her head doubling as a hairbow. She wears a pastel pink collar dress with white accents. She floats in a sitting pose with her lanky legs bent beneath her and her hands resting in her lap.

Day 4 of #peachtober24 was Sky! I wanted this one to look really jolly and light ⛅

A cartoon character personification of the sky. His head is the sun and his beard is a cloud. His eyes are made from the silhouette of a distant bird, with an additional smaller bird as a cowlick on the back of his head. He wears a poncho made of a sky blue material with a trim of fluffy clouds. His pants and shoes are a puffy material of the same colour. His poncho and shoes both have laces ending in aglets that look like shiny drops of water. His hands are yellow like the sun and poke out from under his poncho as he leaps happily in the air.

Every paw can be a CLAW!! I forgot to post yesterday!

An animal's paw personified as a cartoon character. Their arms and legs are the toes of the animal paw, each baring a single claw, Wolverine-style. They are wearing ripped up green pants and scowling angrily.

Day 3 of #peachtober24 was Paw! 🐾 When I thought of a Namesakes character for this concept I immediately got the idea for the squishy toe bean torso. The palms and knee pads were a little awkward to figure out but I think they're successful!

A cartoon character shaped like a cat's paw. The toe beans of a paw make a squishy pink chest and belly. The character's arms and legs have the beans as cushiony palms and knee-pads. He wears green draw-string shorts. He's jumping in the air with a joyful expression.

Day 2 of #peachtober24 was Sparkle! I had fun with this one, she's wearing some kind of lolita jsk??? But made of one big sparkle shape!

A cartoon personification of a sparkle of yellow light. Her face is one big four pointed star, her closed eyes are a simple "m" shape, with eyelashes made of beams of light. Her outfit is a black and purple lolita dress made of one big starburst shape as the skirt. The waist is tied with a ribbon that also mimics the pointy ends of a starburst. She wears a white blouse underneath and white bobby socks with a single twinkle on them. Her shoes are pointy purple heels.

Daisyyyy, daissyyy... So I failed #peachtober24 before I even started, I just couldn't figure out a format I wanted to go with. However! Every list of words can be Namesakes prompts! So I actually did the whole thing, I just didn't keep it to the month.

A character who is the personification of a daisy. Her hair is the flower and the rest of her body is the stem. She wears a green shirt made of grass, yellow pants and black shoes. She has a grumpy expression and posture, her arms are folded.
