If Nick is healthy enough now to where he's reliable, then AEW could absolutely bring him back. I think AEW has moved on from bringing in people like Gage though.

Bought a third party model kit. Never messed with one before. Looking forward to seeing how it compares to what Bandai does.

That's what intermissions are for. Lawrence of Arabia is almost 4 hours and has on. I'd be more than happy to pause a 9 hour movie for 10-15 minutes to go to the bathroom or anything that I might need to take care of. I'm honestly sick of the whole "2 and a half hours? That's too long." thing.

Oh no... Oh god no... I hope they don't bait him into losing his cool. TK used to be not so great on social media and press scrums, but he may have gotten some PR training or something because he's very well spoken and promotes the hell out of AEW without putting anyone down.

Ben "Reuben" Sandwich @manabovetime.bsky.social · 29/03/2026

No matter how good the show is, everyone is going to focus on the attendance numbers. As long as the crowd really shows up and are loud enough, I don't care what they draw. That being said, I hope they draw a good number.

That makes sense. I agree that Meltzer not having access doesn't mean they aren't making money off the PPVs. I apologize for my ignorance.

I don't watch WWE regularly, but I watch clips here and there especially during WM season. From what WWE fans have told me, they feel like it's that HHH's creative stinks. I don't know what happened between HHH getting the keys to the kingdom and now, but from what I see, they're lacking cohesion.

000

Ben "Reuben" Sandwich @manabovetime.bsky.social · 29/03/2026

If you're paying for MyAEW, aren't all the PPVs included? If that's the case, I don't know how they'd calculate who's actually watching them.

200

Ben "Reuben" Sandwich @manabovetime.bsky.social · 29/03/2026

I had no idea AEW aired at all there. I've thought about using a VPN for MyAEW, but I'm only paying $20 for AEW PPVs because a friend and I split the cost for each PPV. It counts towards the buy rate and puts some money in the pockets of the company.

Ben "Reuben" Sandwich @manabovetime.bsky.social · 29/03/2026

AEW is better when they run smaller venues. They can pack North American arenas fairly well, but a stadium show in the UK where AEW isn't shown in TV is kinda counterproductive. There has to be a place in the UK or Europe that holds 20,000 that they can almost guarantee a sellout.

120

Ben "Reuben" Sandwich @manabovetime.bsky.social · 29/03/2026

I really hope they draw a decent crowd. The attendance for the second Wembley show wasn't too great, but it was enough for the time. I think they need to not run shows in Wembley anymore. I love AEW, but I honestly think the first Wembley show might have been a fluke. We'll see in a few months.

I actually prefer NOAH to NJPW right now. I don't like the WWE connection with NOAH, but I understand why they're working with each other. Now that Tanahashi is retired, everything is kind of up in the air in NJPW. I mainly stick to AEW, NJPW, NOAH, and some indies. It's hard to keep up sometimes.

I need to watch more TJPW. I used to have Wrestle Universe for NOAH and I occasionally watched TJPW, but I was burned out on wrestling for a while so I dropped off from NOAH and TJPW.

I met Billy Gunn when I was 18 at an indie show. He was super nice and joked with me a bit. Also met Sonjay Dutt. He was kind of a dick. I would like to meet more wrestlers, but I don't have money for meet & greets, and I'm not waiting outside an arena hoping to get a picture. That's stalker shit.

I'd rather tour the bus of any of my favorite bands for a fraction of that price. I'd take that 10k and give it to my mom. There are way more important things than touring the bus of a turncoat like Cody.

Even though I don't watch WWE anymore, I was gonna go to Cena's retirement match in DC. Then I saw the nosebleed seats were upwards of $300. Fuck that. Nosebleeds for the first Dynamite weren't nearly that much. They really don't want the poors stinking up their sports entertainment. #wrestlesky

This year will be my 24th year as a wrestling fan, but I didn't watch anything other than WWE until 2017. It's so liberating to not be tied down to one promotion. I personally believe right now is the best time in history to be a wrestling fan. #wrestlesky

He did when AEW started. Somewhere along the way, he stopped giving a shit. It's sad. A lot of Joshis take bumps that some men wouldn't. They work their asses off. We need a North American Joshi promotion. I think Athena is trying to get that going if I remember correctly.

I don't know if it's because they have the ROH camera crew or MLP have upped their production, but Global Wars looks great.

I'm upset that I'm gonna miss going to AEW Dynamite in Fairfax because I'm seeing Behemoth, Deicide, and Immolation the next day in Silver Spring. There's no way I'd be able to go to a wrestling show, then go to a concert where I'm gonna be standing for 4 hours. I'm old. #wrestlesky #metalsky

I need some risers for the back rows, but I'm close to 40 finished Gunpla kits. It's been quite a journey, yet I'm still learning. I'm also currently watching After War Gundam X for the first time for its 30th anniversary. It might beat G Gundam as my favorite Gundam series. #gunpla #gundam

The few shows I've seen from MLP were decent enough. I hope we see some more crossovers from AEW too. Having a TV deal in Canada is huge, especially on TSN. As someone from the States, I'm so happy that wrestlers have yet another place to work and make a name for themselves. #wrestlesky

AEW is on the hottest streak they've had in a long time. Ratings are up, the booking has been pretty good, and the matches have been bangers as usual. Revolution was great, even if I'm sad that Hanger lost. The finish was perfect, though. I wonder if the blood on the camera lens was a planned spot.

010

Ben "Reuben" Sandwich @manabovetime.bsky.social · 29/03/2026

I really wish NOAH wasn't working with WWE. I get why they're doing it, but it kinda sucks. I love that Yoshiki Inamura came back from NXT with a cowboy hat and a new attitude. I like seeing Japanese talent get a chance in the States, but WWE doesn't have a great track record with Japanese stars.

000

Ben "Reuben" Sandwich @manabovetime.bsky.social · 29/03/2026

I had to take a break from social media for a bit. I'm only here for the pro wrestling, metal, and Gunpla communities. As much as I want to be political, the geopolitical landscape is fucked. Whatever I'd post or repost won't do a goddamn thing. All I have to say is peace and love, and go vote ✌️

Just watched the video of Steve Maclin getting KO'd. That was brutal. I thought he was just selling really well. I don't watch TNA, but I hate seeing talent get injured. Especially when it's a head injury. Good on the ref for handling the situation like a true professional. #wrestlesky

I used to work for CBP helping train K-9s back in my early 20s (I was not an officer). Fun gig, but most of the officers were assholes. There were some chill guys, but the majority were people I wouldn't want to associate with outside of a work setting. I wouldn't do it now for any amount of money.

Not to be "that guy", but it was US Customs and Border Patrol. Not ICE. They're still just a bunch of limpdicks with guns who are shooting citizens with impunity. They'll get theirs in the end.

I totally get where you're coming from, but personally it never bothered me. It lets the wrestlers have some down time and the fans as well. I watch a lot of wrestling as it is, so it's nice that I can take a break from NJPW for a couple weeks and not miss anything. It's a bummer for fans, though.

110

Ben "Reuben" Sandwich @manabovetime.bsky.social · 08/01/2026

NJPW doesn't do weekly shows. They only do a handful of shows a month usually unless there is a tournament. They can go weeks without a show. It's just how they roll. Been like that since I started watching in 2017.

I love Darby, but he's gonna be in a wheelchair by the time he's 40. He takes so many chances that it's scary sometimes. Every time he gets thrown down a flight of stairs, I flinch.

110

Ben "Reuben" Sandwich @manabovetime.bsky.social · 08/01/2026

If WWE put on 10 match PLEs, I might tune in again, but then you gotta take those ad packages into account. As well as all the celebrities in the crowd that they have to point out. Ten matches that are 5-10 mins each, a couple promos, plus ads would probably fill out a PLE. That sounds awful.

000

Ben "Reuben" Sandwich @manabovetime.bsky.social · 08/01/2026

Sure, they get crazy. That being said, a lot of that blood is from blading. Something that a wrestler usually does themselves unless it's a deathmatch like GCW or ICW NHB put on. The most dangerous stunt AEW has done was Darby going through the glass during Sting's last match. It could be a worse.

That promo was awesome. I don't speak a lick of Spanish, but I know Hanger was speaking from the heart. Reading the subtitles after it was uploaded to YouTube confirmed that. We're both Virginia boys, so I feel like I have some sort of vague connection with him.
