So finally gonna dump some art which I had posted last night on Instagram. A reminder why it took me so long to post, the reason is below. So btwn family life & LA wildfires the end of 2024 & start of 2025’s been wild & not in a good way. So this will be a #RWBY thread of stuff from past 3-4 months

I’ve been deleting my artwork off of Twitter since I no longer trust that app. As long as Elon continues his support for AI training as well as letting AI bros run rampant on that platform. I’m only posting here, Instagram and KoFi. Pixiv…maybe but AI is also an issue there.

I keep forgetting Bluesky exists. So I’m going to post a sign on my desk to remind myself to not be a stranger to this account😂. 90% of the time I don’t even use Twitter anymore unless I get a specific notification/DM. I spend more time on Instagram & Threads. Anyhow my latest update #RWBY

I had no idea it was #PortfolioDay2024 , Here’s some work (1st 3 are movies)I did awhile ago under another name but I’ll also throw in old #RWBY illustration. I did these to practice lighting & since it was awhile ago, I can see a lot of my shortcomings 😅. #Qi'ra #mathilda #NattyGann #YangXiaoLong

Started a doodle & it became something more. Really liking the pencil brush presets. Anyhow, it’s shaded on the chance that I color it at some point. I can just switch off the colors & blend. #bumbleby #YangXiaoLong #BlakeBelladonna #RWBY #SaveRWBY #viviennewestwood #70sPunk

If you're interested in watching RWBY for free (legally), you have a month left until the Rooster Teeth app and site shut down forever. RWBY will still be available on Crunchyroll, but that's a paid service.

Here’s a sketch that was supposed to be included in this #bumbleby anniversary manga as a YonKoma but didn’t have time. I may work on it still & submit a completed version. I’ve included translations. Read from right to left: #rwby #saverwby #yangxiaolong #blakebelladonna

I think I really enjoy illustrating night time scenes because I can experiment with different kinds of lighting. And I absolutely love rim lighting.

I'm happy to see some of my RWBY novels still out in the wild! Alas, these don't have my picture in the back so I couldn't show them to my daughter and confuse her. #RWBY #BeforeTheDawn #RomanHoliday #GREENLIGHTVOLUME10

Hello! It was certainly disheartening to learn the news about Rooster Teeth. It's pretty obvious how much #RWBY means to me, as it did to a lot of people. There is still many fan projects wanting to keep RWBY alive. Please follow & support them!

My ‘Blake’ illustration was drawn out of spite to Al-bros that have the audacity to call themselves artists. In this artwork, she's killing a "Bull-Grimm" representing Al. Also just know that Al's increase in energy use directly affects greenhouse gas emissions. #RWBY #BlakeBelladonna #notoAIimages

Here’s my last transfer for the night. More to come soon. For some context, I’ve been working on a series of drawings placing RWBY in a Cyberpunk setting. Here’s the promo of that world

Maloy (D-Ross) @maloy.bsky.social · 21/12/2023

“RWBY at Work.” Because I thought it would be funny if they were the ones that animated the series. I had to throw in Team JNPR and Penny in there.

Here’s a V6 Mistral arc inspired Bumbleby illustration I’ve transferred over.

0135

Maloy (D-Ross) @maloy.bsky.social · 21/12/2023

This one is called “Sunflower Pop.” Just a reminder you can find all these on my Pixiv account as well. I have the same username there.

Maloy (D-Ross) @maloy.bsky.social · 21/12/2023

I titled this Bumbleby illustration “Twilight in Vacuo.” When I drew this awhile ago, I wanted to draw these two during my favorite time of early evening.
