Just a quick post to say hello. I'm getting up the revs to make a final pass at my WIP after incredibly insightful notes from my beta readers. Meanwhile, here's last Monday's sunset. (No filters.)

QUESTION TIME How concerned are you about family & friends reviews? There's doom mongering on reddit, etc., but has anyone been banned from Amazon because a friend posted an unsolicited review? Nothing an author can control. #writingcommunity #horror #histfic #croatia #wip #reviews #kdp #amazon

When I published Island at the Edge of War in 2020, I didn't expect a story of courage in the face of peer pressure and cultural bigotry to remain so relevant to current times. #writingcommunity #horror #histfic #yabooks #croatia #korcula #wip #readers #newrelease #newnovel #trump #nokings

Amen. I write fiction now, but spent a career doing non-fiction. The writing is where you find and fix the holes and flaws of the original thinking. That's where the real work is. Writing with discipline sharpens ideas and exorcises the irrelevant. #writingcommunity #indieauthor

AI touts are a pain in the ass. Human readers sending real texts, email are going to be ignored by authors who don't want to encourage these heartless asswipes. We're all worse off for that. #writingcommunity #horror #histfic #yabooks #noaitouts

Got clever scammer recently, an AI generated "fan" email with details of my book, not the usual vagueness. Replied just in case. "Buy our review services..."
