A diagnosis can definitely be liberating. The first 27 years of my life were really hard. The last 26 have gotten easier as the years have passed. I’m in a really good place now, because I know how to avoid that which makes things harder.

Fun story: I saved up money for months for a family trip to Santa Cruz, went to the Santa Cruz skateboard shop, and built my fantasy board. I rode the hell outta that thing for years. One of my greatest childhood memories.
