If anyone could help a disabled, housebound dude who’s currently without care out with the cost of some food and meds, I’d appreciate it. Sorry. ko-fi.com/malibudarby

If anyone can help with the cost of some essentials, I would greatly appreciate it. Trying to raise about £150 to cover: My overdue broadband. Food until next week. Bleach/cleaning supplies. My supplementary meds/painkillers. ko-fi.com/malibudarby

Cutting back on painkillers ‘cause of poverty is… going about as well as expected 🤡💀 Current budget has me about £1,000 shy of essentials each month. I’m having a bad time, lol.

Proof of something approaching life. Currently fighting the council on 3 separate disability discrimination complaints, with my benefits stopped, very little food, no safe access to medical appointments, and no capacity to leave my flat unaided. I’m still fighting. I don’t know what else I can do.

Still here after paramedics intervention yesterday morning. Spent the day today trying to access food banks and essentials like toilet paper and cleaning supplies. Was a waste of time. It’s just becoming clearer how much of a waste of time it all is, tbh.

Thank you for everyone who has helped recently. Sorry to have to ask again, but I’m currently without pain meds or travel costs for needed physiotherapy. For context, I have Multiple Sclerosis, hyper mobility, and nerve damage. ko-fi.com/malibudarby

I genuinely don’t even know how to put into words anymore how broken things are in my part of the country. It’s grim. And hard to see any way through.

I feel awful to keep asking. I’m currently just trying to keep going. Which is getting harder and harder as local services dry up. I recently presented to local mental health services in extreme distress, with intervention from adult social care. I was offered self help mindfulness exercises.

Being in protracted mental health crisis without support from mental health services is genuinely messing me up. If anyone could help a bit with the cost of food, meds, travel etc. I’d be very grateful ko-fi.com/malibudarby

lol. Debt collectors coming around on Monday with body cams now? Cool… cool… I mean, I can’t even afford toilet paper, but pop off, I guess. Have fun recording yourself harassing a disabled person and taking his various nothings~

Above 40C in the flat, can’t leave without assistance, and only food I’ve got is oven cooked, so, guess heatstroke will get me regardless, lol.

Back home from hospital. Not doing too good. Was supposed to get emergency care funded so I’m not on my own for a bit, but there’s no budget for it. So been told to just rough it out, lol.

“Trust the audience to know your character” is not neutral writing advice when you’re writing characters whose type and lived experiences are underrepresented and/or purposefully made illegible in the pop culture consciousness. imo.

ERRANT WINGS, my coming of age about a gay punk suddenly growing angel wings & rallying against a city trying to control him, has been out for one year now! If you want a heartfelt story about just trying to find your place in life, Errant Wings has you covered! earlronove.itch.io/errantwings

Trope map for Errant Wings by S. Jean, out now as ebook and paperback. The background is a photo of an alley street where a tree with golden autumn leaves covers the sky. In the center is Errant Wings's cover, featuring Asher with his angel wings against a blue sky as he kneels on the corner of a building, spray paint can in hand. Around the cover and pointing toward it are the tropes. They are: gay disaster punk, coming of age set in a fictional 90's, staying true to yourself, graffiti art as catharsis, angel & devil wings, relationships that need mending, punching assholes, and more fire symbolism than you thought you needed. Below the cover is where to order your copy and it is: "books.earlronove.com/errantwings"
