Nadine has come across some iconography in the church while helping her friend evade the SEA. It’s enough for her to take a pause. You can read Drowning - in Serevya - at: drowningcomic.com Or on Tapas: m.tapas.io/series/Drown... #comic #webcomic #scifi #fantasy #ocsky #drowninginserevya

Nadine stands in front of a large piece of iconography. It shows Aether, the dirty, projecting beams of light in a rainbow pattern like a prism.

It’s tough wanting to be a semi-realistic artist when my lineart is the best part of my process. All of these are some of the line work from my webcomic. Check it out on WebcomicStudio or Tapas drowningcomic.com m.tapas.io/series/Drown...

Lineart drawing of Miriam, it’s a close up of her face

Lineart of two panels from my comic that uses a lot of black flats. Milan takes a drink Ruben home.

When you need promo art but the page you’re working on does the job. This is the opening page for chapter 2, which introduces the adult cast. Stay tuned. My comic “Drowning - In Serevya -“ is set to launch August 20th, 2026! #webcomic #digitalart #sequentialart

A page with 2 vertical panels, that uses a lot of teal colors. The first panel is an underwater elevator heading down into the depths. The second, slightly wider, panel shows the inside of the elevator. 3 characters (Miriam, Milan, and Ruben) are inside wearing their SEA researcher uniform.

Map of Zimkova, the starting location for my comic, a coastal town in the north. It was quiet until the SEA, the militaristic force that runs the Govt. of Serevya, set up a military base and gained control of the area. #webcomic #comicart #worldbuilding #originalstory #drowninginserevya

Digital art of a map featuring the coastal town of Zimkova from my webcomic. It features major locations such as the church, Camp Alexi, Nerid Base, Docks, Market, Farms, Warehouse, and Park

As I kept writing Drowning, I realized that one of the main themes of the story is perception, who controls it, and the attempts people make to take control of their own image. Comics are a visual storytelling format, I try to get as much as I can out of that. #Webcomic #comic #digitalart

Chapter 1 cover for my comic. Shows Samael (Blonde boy in religious robes) holding a candle and looking behind him out a window that has rain running down it.

Chapter 2 cover for my comic. Shows Renata, an intense looking girl with brown hair and hands on her hips, barely being contained by the ornate frame she’s displayed in.

Chapter 3 cover for my comic. Shows Lotan (Small guy with black hair and an upturned face) looking in a mirror while buttoning up his Hunter uniform.

Commission for @t0bi-l0ve-ttv.bsky.social of concept art for his PNG-tuber persona, Bernardic. I made a clothed and shirtless version to show off his mechanical arm! Isn’t he dapper? #commission #digitalart #pngtuber

Front and back character design of a man holding a wine glass, wearing a sage green 1920’s style suit. He has greying brown hair and a mechanical arm, which is painted with a flower pattern. Beside him is a front and back reference of that mechanical arm.

Same image as prior, but a shirtless version to show off more of the mechanical arm. He is wearing purple-pink suspenders.

Finished! I’ve obsessed with their messy story for a while. We support gay rights and gay wrongs here. #digitalart #webcomicart #originalcharacter #drowninginserevya

Digital art of Milan and Ruben, two men from my webcomic who are clearly in a relationship. Milan had short black hair, glasses, and is gripping Ruben’s tie and pulling him close. Ruben has short dreadlocks and seems intrigued.

Mal ✨ @maladaptiveart.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

I can’t believe June is almost almost over and I haven’t drawn any couple art. Have Milan and Ruben, I’ll go deeper into them in the completed post but they are messy and intense. #digitalart #oc #originalcharacter #webcomic

Sketch with outlines and shading, shaded in blue. Shows two men standing close to each other (Milan and Ruben). Milan has glasses and neat short hair, and is pulling Ruben’s tie closer. Ruben has short dreads and a goatee. There’s some tension (positive) in the way they look at each other. The words “Work in Progress” are on top of the image.

“This is what I really am... Does that scare you?” “No.” “Most people are scared. Even the ones who say they aren’t.” “I think at one point I would have been, but not anymore.” ——— #mermay #webcomic #comic #digitalart #DrowninginSerevya

Two girls at the edge of a rounded underground pool. The stone is a warm brown and the water and algae on the wall are a teal blue. One girl wearing all blue with light hair looks into the water, at the other girl, with fish like features, who is half submerged in it.

Concept Sketch VS Final Design for my comic’s cover! 🐟 Drowning - in Serevya - is a Speculative Sci-Fi/fantasy about the persecution of civilians living under the militaristic government of the Security Enforcement Agency (SEA). #drowninginserevya #webcomic #digitalart #comic

Digital art of a messy sketch. A predominantly blue image of a girl standing in the rain. She’s wearing a blue coat and behind her are a group of people colored in blue with gills and fins. Their faces are obscured by the bright red umbrella she’s holding. Her face is visible, and is coated in red light from the umbrella. Her light blue eyes stand out from the red.

Same image concept as before, but the sketch has been polished into a final image.
