I didn't realize until after I finished packing the July test run of my snail mail club for math people,

that the July stamp has an "L" missing, so it says "Water Ilies" instead of "Water Lilies".

#hottake: Part of why math is such an unpopular subject is because of how compulsory it is, in both content and method. I'd love for there to be more options, not just "take Course A if you're going into Sciences and B otherwise", but "here are 3 optional topics, pick 2 to learn about". #MathSky

#hottake: If you walk into any elementary school classroom you'd see shelves full of reading material of different topics and levels. We need that for math, where a kid can go to a shelf and pick a problem and try it out on their own. Until we have that, teachers have their hands tied. #MathSky
