GNSS geek moment in Bremerhaven, that little hut and mast quietly doing sea level work while tourists photograph the BH. Local quality control inspector (seagull) on duty.

This madness and turmoil are growing day by day, hour by hour, yet we remain under the illusion that we are living among a peace-loving, civilized, and climate-conscious generation. What an illusion…

Volcanism is a unique feature of Auckland. Newly discovered hidden faults make things even more interesting. This is a picture I took last Aug of the 50 m deep crater of Mount Eden (erupted 28,000 yrs ago).

Our PhD student Charlotte Hacker (@crc1502-detect.bsky.social @unibonn.bsky.social) published a 40yr record of total water storage anomalies (TWSA), similar to GRACE but from 1984 on. She combined SLR, DORIS and climate data in a new method. zenodo.org/records/1582... doi.org/10.22541/ess...
40yr trend in TWSA, red = drying (-up to 6mm/yr) blue = wetting (up to 6mm/yr)

Your #paper doesn’t mean much if you don’t share the data and #code to reproduce the results. I’ve stopped reviewing #manuscripts with no transparent and open data policy.
