INKTOBER Day 8: A caricature of Guillermo del Toro, host of the anthology series Cabinet of Curiosities. By far the cuddliest fellow to ever host a macabre spook show! Ink and ink wash on Strathmore Mixed Media card. 6x8 inches.

A caricature of Guillermo del Toro holding a tiny cabinet. A small demon is popping out of one of the drawers

Gearing up for Inktober. Lots of superheroes, horror characters, pop culture stuff and the like coming up. Here's a few examples from last year's Inktober to whet your appetite.

Saw 2 chains and Lil wayne yesterday. Realized I am way too old for that now. Today I watched All Out ppv on my phone at work. That is more my speed.

My wife watched the baby while me and my son went into the Lego store. She gave me a budget. Her mistake was not going in with us. I was not aware this was sold out most places and the gift set has been long sold out. I was informed by my friend I was a lucky bastard.

My son is 9 and is about roblox and brainrot. Yesterday he asked to watch War of the Worlds (1953). I did not think he would sit through it but he really liked it. He just opened the door to a world of sci-fi that I am happy to show him.

The mandalorian and grogu was fun. I love grogu and the little Babu Frick guys. Also i would much rather watch people in makeup and costumes and puppets than fully cg characters. But I still enjoyed the movie.

I’m surprised the repost game on bsky is so weak. You have the power to shove things in people’s faces and you opt not to use it. Couldn’t be me.

Wife had not seen '9 to 5'. I had not seen it since I was a little kid. It is a batshit crazy movie. It is wonderful and amazing. Everyone should watch it. Its alot. Its interesting to see the ladies then and where their careers took them up to today.

Geostorm (2017) is really bad. Its The Asylum levels bad, but without the charm. Then I see that The Asylum released Geostorm (2026) a month ago. Gonna have to check that one out.

My son (9) says "what" everytime my wife and I ask him a question. So I said, "this is what I feel like when you say 'what'", and I showed him the scene in pulp fiction where Jules gets angry at Brett for saying 'what'. Thank you for helping improve my excellent parenting skills Mr. Jackson.

The Last House Yeah I watched it. Let me explain. Its like... a bunch of movies... kinda... in there... and its a thriller/drama/family/sci-fi/horror/mystery movie... that... sort of does those things. Kinda. It is different and interesting. But the plot is everywhere and nowhere. Its OK? Maybe...

Evil Dead Burn Fantastic. I enjoy all of them. My only negative, is that I wish cg was avoided completely in this franchise. As much as I dislike stop motion, it is suited for movies like this these. Pratical effects will always be better.
