I'm really going to need TVNZ to fix their heading carousel because the whiplash is unreal

Yes I paid a sum of money to listen to the radio. :3 But also it is a religious experience to sing Break Stuff by Limp Bizkit and Chop Suey by System of a Down in a crowd of middle aged metal fans. This is genuinely so fun

Touching some grass, missed my garden (and it's dying jus a lil bit oops)

0120

shannon//cannon @majorarlene.net · 18/09/2026

also, I am so, so, so very much over every program dev who makes posts like this bitching about how "omg this is so hard and I make not a lot of money from it." you know that going in. if that is a problem for you, then the very simple answer is don't do it. this is frankly just clout chasing atp.

With all that, it is the weekend. I have spent countless hours this week working on Waterfox, making very little from it. I am going to turn off all my notifications and hope that logic prevails.

My toxic trait is needing to have at least one pretentious-as-fuck breakfast whenever I go traveling

Touching snow is better than touching grass (I crashed three times but didn't totally suck for my first time)

shannon//cannon @majorarlene.net · 09/09/2026

Today's adventure was boats! Crazy old steam boats, mulled drinks and a farm full of future wool.

shannon//cannon @majorarlene.net · 08/09/2026

Also low key back into my "actually using a camera" era? I can't zoom on this thing at all, it's stupidly simple but I really have enjoyed using it. It's like film photography with those disposable cameras with a little bit less effort to get your photos at the end

I ran away to the mountains to fill my lungs with the air they didn't realise they missed

shannon//cannon @majorarlene.net · 21/08/2026

Unfortunately getting sober did in fact improve my mental health and is making me more productive so now I gotta break out this meme

3240

shannon//cannon @majorarlene.net · 19/08/2026

why does every GameBrief query look like it was written by chatGPT? and there's SO MANY. I had to scroll for miles through very technical-sounding questions to find the one that actually landed on one of our games two days ago, which is another sign that this outlet is sus as fuck. ignore them.

shannon//cannon @majorarlene.net · 25/07/2026

okay no because the full context of this quote is even worse. these are considered "the little things that made him who he was" fuck this, I'm writing my own obit right now.

110

shannon//cannon @majorarlene.net · 22/07/2026

new project I'm doing, partly as archival, partly to connect, and partly because I just need some different music in my life: going through my partner's physical music collection, making a spreadsheet (duh) and having a listen through whatever service I can find them on (Tidal mostly)

261

shannon//cannon @majorarlene.net · 18/07/2026

there is no way I'm so old that this is now a documentary topic
