Tonight’s meal experiment, lemon garlic shrimp rice in the rice cooker + takuan pickles from Mitsuwa. Also present was a small salad of trustworthy pantry lettuce and the miso dressing I made. Sluggo is so happy right now

Friends. I am out of wet kitten food. The rescue is out of stock til tomorrow. All my money is going to buying my insulin tonight. They are screeching and I’m trying hard to be patient but this toothache is making it so hard. If you can spare $10 so I can get some cheap cans it would be a lifesaver

Fun idea: carve several different bug heads/thoraces/abdomens onto erasers and put them in a box to give to kids to make mix and match bugs.

Here's the metric folks: If your #ttrpg requires any dice OTHER than the classic d6, it's not an 'easy entry level ttrpg'; it's just your accumulated knowledge and experience that makes it seem that way. Yes, the alternate math rocks are neat and fun, but are a barrier to an inexperienced person.

I guess that’s obvious for the legs but there is a world where a bird could have a salmon eye in its mouth or something. Not this one though. Their legs are crossed to make a number 4 almost. The bird and reeds are also mirrored in the water with blue ripples interrupting them with increasing tempo like a 5 year old when their parents are talking to someone. Shaped like shapes.

Y’all I signed my contract for the new job and I keep trying to not get too excited but fuck. I’ll be paid $8-10/visit more and the overnight pay is the same as I charge privately. There’s a 10% holiday bonus. My boss friended me on Finch. And they made sure to confirm and use my correct pronouns!

The free printmaking workshop was so much fun! I came away with some fantastic ideas and I really really want to sign up for her full course on how to do tesselation nature prints but there’s no way I can afford it at the moment. But here is what I made!

A small tessellated print comprised of alternating purple and green prince of a stag beetle that was carved into an eraser. Be nice I drew him free hand.

Alright what's the over/under that they're gonna let me use this illustration as the example of various ways you can nature journal in my book? I don't see anything wrong with this, why wouldn't they let me use this?

Lettuce was so sweet and tender. It melted in my mouth and yet somehow had crunch and a ton of flavor. Harvesting at 21 days was perfect. The dressing was a little sharp but I may have added a hair too much miso. It may taste different tomorrow! I did not bleed grating carrots. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ GOOD JOB ME
