Thank you to the Victoria Labour Council for hosting today's #DayofMourning, in honour of workers killed or injured on the job. It was my honour to attend and pay tribute to fallen workers and their families ❤️‍🩹

Did you know? The Victoria Regional Transit is offering free transit (including HandiDART) today Monday, April 28, for the federal election. Offering free transit helps people get to the polls and cast their ballot! Thank you @bctransit.bsky.social More info here: www.bctransit.com/free-transit...

I am shocked and heartbroken to learn of the unspeakable tragedy at the Lapu Lapu Festival in Vancouver yesterday. My heart goes out to the families and Filipino community during this incredibly difficult time. ~ Maja Tait, NDP Candidate for Esquimalt Saanich Sooke

It was a pleasure to join students at Journey Middle school for a forum this morning in #Sooke. It is telling that the Cons and Liberal candidates did not show up to hear from young people. The NDP and I are there for everyday families, including our bright young leaders of the future. Go Dragons!

Here on the island, everyone knows the race is between the Conservatives and the NDP. That's what Islanders will be looking for in the debate. More people are saying they’ll stick with the NDP to stop Poilievre. We need leaders who show up and work hard—not those who coast on their party’s name #NDP
