Yep these extra switches are just not there unless you yell at someone, which is of course what you'd do if you have a good feature people really want. knowledge.workspace.google.com/admin/genera...

The @nebula.tv app cuts off long titles without any … indicator that there are more words, which can lead to unusual news reports.
A screenshot of a Latest Videos section on Nebula, where TLDR News seemingly suggests that “the Iran war has been surprisingly great” because the title is cut off.

People should go to prison for this. I'm not kidding or exaggerating. Directing people who have explicitly asked for the only private messenger to a scam app is indefensible.
A screenshot of someone searching the Google Play Store for the term "signal".

The first item returned is a "sponsored result" for an intentionally generic scam app called Messages.

This is not Signal, nor is it the official Android texting app (also called Messages). It's also not Facebook Messenger, it's just random adware from an anonymous company. It has ten million downloads.

The second item is the real Signal app.

Here's the only remaining alternative, the current Singapore route (as flown June 19 / Flightradar24 data). Look how many at-war or high-risk countries it almost touches – and some that it has to fly over aren't the most stable either.
A partial world map overlaid with the route of a flight from London to Singapore.

Crossing various EU countries, the route cuts south to avoid Ukraine, then goes over the Black Sea and crosses Georgia and Azerbaijan to avoid Russia and Iran.

After crossing Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, the route cuts very sharply south in Tajikistan and reaches Pakistan through a narrow corridor that avoids Afghanistan, China, and disputed Kashmir regions.

The flight then continues over northern India. The rest of the route is not shown.

Everyone relax. The experts are here to explain this is actually great news.
Screenshot of a paragraph in the Stratechery newsletter.

Text:

So are we close to AGI?

It definitely seems like it. This also explains why Softbank (and whatever investors Masayoshi Son brings together) would provide the funding for OpenAI that Microsoft will not: the belief that we are reaching a takeoff point where there will in fact be real returns towards being first.
