I have been testing Railway's cloud agents with OpenCode. They work fine, but the promise of a throw-away agents does not materialize. The moment you require a custom setup, e.g. accessing a private registry, the config is a hassle. I would rather have a local box where I configure things once.

I hope it will actually be fixed when you get it back. A few years ago I had a drama 4 weeks before warranty ended and Apple did not want to replace the Macbook for weeks. Eventually they did but it was a nightmare.

Why can't every website with logins have such a button? Some websites and services turn an account deletion request into a huge drama. Others let me self-delete my account in 2 seconds, which saves the mutual hassle.

Today I solved real-world problem with AI. During triage, I learned a lot about hydraulic disc brakes and why my Shimano MT-200 has a long dead zone. Went to my bike dealer and had the brake levers swapped with a model that builds up pressure a little faster. And now my brakes are 💪 🚲

It feels like 99% of YouTube thumbnails are now AI-pimped clickbait. This does not mean that such videos are of low content quality. But it's frustrating that even for the best educational videos my first reaction is often "WTF?!" because the thumbnail completely misrepresents the content.

Making agentic coding work for teams is a challenge. It's great to see Zed tackle this space. But I think that this way of working requires a major cultural shift for most teams: every ticket is a conversation way beyond "I implemented this, can you review?". This will be a hard sell.

What makes me continue to use GitHub are third party integrations that have not been implemented for other platforms yet. And not everyone enjoys jumping on the self-hosting train. Ironically, I was about to test the waters with Codeberg when they changed their stance on agentic coding.

Generally, my sense is that the harness determines more than the model whether or not I get good results. with OpenCode + Svelte plugin it does not have to be Kimi 3 to get a pleasant experience.

OpenCode Go (cheaper Chinese models) is not bad when used with Skills and MCP. At least for side projects. OpenCode Zen is like a metered taxi ride on a highway.

I use unique email addresses per service. This helps detect the occasional bad egg and block them if needed. But I still need an E-Mail address that does not change long-term. And unfortunately that email is the source of my spam problems.

My experience with agents is that it doesn't make my work "faster". In the end it costs roughly the same amount of time, if not longer But my role has shifted from "builder" to "sculptor", which is a completely different job. I hated it at the very beginning tbh, but I'm getting better at it slowly
