Back in December, about $300,000 in grants was distributed to various organizations in NYC, with the goal of supporting Jewish writers. I was struck that none of these grants, however, went to offering writers what they need most: direct financial support. thecjn.ca/opinion/jewi...

Since writing is an internal art, finding ways to make a poet’s residency interactive can be challenging. A few weeks ago, I came up with an idea: to invite library members to translate my poems into Swedish. We made a packet, and invited people to read their translations at my upcoming events.

I really enjoyed reading this review. I wish it had mentioned Krasznahorkai's translators. George Szirtes translated The Melancholy of Resistance. I translated Herscht 07769, the book under review here. Even a simple byline at the top. 'Translated by...' It's important.+
